True and he couldve called angels down to pwn the entire Roman Empire but he didnt. Took a lot of strength to endure that for humanity, which really doesnt deserve it but this is where grace comes into play
By grace we are saved through faith and not of ourselves.

Jesus wanted to be a martyr.
If he hadn't died on the cross the way he did he probably wouldn't be remembered today.
He went to Jerusalem to provoke the authorities. It was essentially suicide by cop.
