Planet Fury sucks. The URL's to each thread use the title, which can often be NSFW.

That's called SEO, for crying out loud. What a thing to complain about.

For those complaining about the forum style of Planet Fury:

I do listen and am willing to work on it (coughIGNwillneverdothatcough). I can't move the sky, as it were, but I can certainly tweak things to make them less of an issue.

IMO there are really only two options. IGN and Planet Furry. The problem with the refugee boards is that there will never be any new users stumbling in. The death of that forum is inevitable and I don't think it will take that long. IGN and Furry will bring us fresh meat and we absolutely need that for the forum to survive.

The main problem with the IGN forum is the modding and I think we should reserve judgment a little on that. Once Lyndrek establishes that as his territory he can educate other mods on how he wants things handled in his forum. The board tech is somewhat different than we're used to but it's got as many advantages as disadvantages. Inline video is a huge improvement. Pictures displaying in their correct size and scale is also a huge advantage. The disadvantages are mostly just a function of unfamiliarity and that won't last forever.

I see three significant problems with Planet Furry. 1) It's NSFW and that alone will keep a lot of Outposters away. 2) The native population is more libtardy than we're used to. Part of what makes the Outpost a great place to argue politics is that we've got an uncommonly good balance. 3) The board tech is by far the worst of the 3 options. I trust that Sinlock can fix that though. The question is can he do it before all the Outposters have quit.

I agree that Planet Furry has the best upside, but we really need a UI tweak.

It's over. Done

There wont be a "new outpost". We will just splutter into the void and get nothing back. Bye shitbags.....I will miss some of you, ok, most of you.

Been real.

I like the girls on planet fury so far. I think adding one paulg to the mix would even it out completely. I assume you weigh 450 lbs right?

How can you be sure of this? Not saying you're necessarily wrong, but I see no reason to believe that "new people" will find either of those sites, especially the IGN one, which (in the case of the Outpost) is an off-topic board related to a game that is pretty much dead.

You're assuming that the people running VNRefugee boards have no industry contacts or plans...

The dying vnboards have been bringing us fresh meat (not a lot but enough) and these boards have wayyy less traffic than the IGN ones. Some will just stumble in by trying new links and others will follow venturesome outposters back there when they post elsewhere.

Not that this is a great example but we already had a half dozen Vesticles drop by and the forum migration isn't even complete.
