This is what people do when they don't know how to fix something, now factor in the amount of time it will take for you to update windows to get the service pack needed to get AC working. Add in the time it takes to install AC and even more time if you use multiple clients. If you try to store information you need like pictures/documents that virus will usually go with it and infect the new reformated system.

Your entire argument was that I called the directory a file, I'm currently AT work and this was just a mistake.
Now if you could come out with some valid arguments or some valid troubleshooting to remove this virus that is completely different. It looks as if you just looked at the bleeping computer site and threw out some virus scanners and are trying to sound competent.
GL atikus your best route now is a reformat, this zeno guy is just trying to act hard because he is a "programmer" lololol.
