Seems like I'm getting rid of it with malware bytes in safe mode with networking

Idk tho. What would you do

Reformat.

This is what people do when they don't know how to fix something, now factor in the amount of time it will take for you to update windows to get the service pack needed to get AC working. Add in the time it takes to install AC and even more time if you use multiple clients. If you try to store information you need like pictures/documents that virus will usually go with it and infect the new reformated system.

I had this on my old hardrive... did exactly what you did and I thought I was getting rid of it but it keeps coming back... for like 6 months I had to deal with that garbage. I ended up buying a new hard drive.

Maleware bytes does not remove that virus in total, it will remove the popups for about a day or two before the rootkit kicks in and installs the popups once more.

I'd remove the rootkit, fix your registry issues, edit your startup and make sure you av/fw is up to date.

It says it quarantined and removed rookit tool but I could be wrong

How would you do those things. Those are like more serious Programming stuff right
