I created two AddOns for the current version of BobsUI.

They are both available for download from the download section of my website.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you refresh the webpage in your browser window to see the new AddOns.

TitleUpdate

Updates Title option with missing Master Levels available for the various Catacomb classes.

TekenerMapUpdate

Updates Starter, Battleground, and Frontier zones. Also adds option that shows Doppelganger locations.

Note: Not all of the Doppelganger/Invader locations are marked as I do not know the location of each one. I believe there are 10 of them in each Realm's frontier areas. If someones wants to edit the following JPG files using MSPaint with a simple X at the approximate location of the unknown mobs I will update the maps used in the UI.

Send me a PM and I'll give you an email address to send the marked up files to.

There are options for them in there.

Change the Command Bar if you want one of these..

Or the Chant window if you want one of these:

I got a new computer and it is running Vista Ultimate. I somehow managed to get your UI running and get settings set, but since then I have started getting errors if I click on an option and even when I try and close the window.

The error message is: "Unable to write to c:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot\Lotm\UI\custom\\Optionschooser.ini"

The double backslash at the end is not a typo.

That is the error message for trying to close the window. The path differs a little for each option I click.I really can't think of what I might have done that would make it quit working. All I do on the machine is game because I am too lazy to set it up for work.

Any ideas?

Also, my quickbar icons alpha is not full, like I set it at. I'm pretty sure I remember having this same problem on my old XP machine. Can that be fixed?

Thanks, Bob.

I am running Vista Ultimate also on one PC here at home.

Are you using a shortcut on your desktop to run the OptionChooser program?

When the OptionsChooser program runs, it looks at the directory it was started in to determine the path to the UI files. It sounds as though the location of the UI files pointed to by the shortcut have changed since the shortcut was first made by the installer program.

If this is the case, just delete the OptionsChooser shortcut and manually create another. To create a new one just browse to your gameclient\ui\custom directory and right click on the OptionsChooser.exe file. Select the "Create Shortcut" option. After you have created the new shortcut, just drag and drop it on your desktop and that should correct the problem you are having saving the settings.

-------

The transparent quickbar is set with the QuickBar option. If you changed the transparent quickbar setting, it will overwrite any previous setting you had made when you selected the DialogSkin.

If you DO NOT want to use a transparent QuickBar:

First set the Quickbar option to Disable.

Next reselect the DialogSkin you had choosen to re-apply the original (solid) quickbar.

Note: You must set the Quickbar option first and then the DialogSkin option if you DO NOT want a transparent quickbar.

If you DO want to use a transparent QuickBar:

First select the DialogSkin you want to use.

Next select the the transparent Quickbar you want to use.

Note: You must set the DialogSkin option first and then the Quickbar option if you DO want a transparent quickbar.

Bob-

I deleted my current desktop shortcut, the went to the custom UI folder [Program Files (x86)/...] and created a shortcut and pasted it on my desktop. I used the shortcut to start the program, and got the error message when I clicked an option.

So I deleted that shortcut and went to my custom folder via Program Files [not Program Files (x86)], created a shortcut, put it on my desktop, and tested. Still the error.

Then I tried starting the Optionschooser.exe from within the folder, not from a shortcut, still errors both in Program Files (x86) and Program Files.

Then I thought, "How odd that I have DAoC in both Program File folders." and since the folders in Program Files (x86) were mostly empty, I just deleted all the DAoC folders from there. I started DAoC to make sure it still worked, and it did.

Then I rebooted my computer and tried starting Optionschooser.exe both via shortcut and from the folder, and got errors both times.

I am now deleting the program, downloading it again, and will reinstall it. I'll let you know what happens.

I take that back. Same error. It worked fine for my first use, the settings in game are my new ones. But, when I run it the second time, I still get the error and I still have transparent quickbars after following your directions. Ack. I love Bob's UI, I hope I can get it to work. I'm sending my email/IM via PM to you in case you want more detailed info or whatever. here is cool too.

Thanks,

Eve

I modified the Tekener Map Update AddOn to add a complete set of GOA maps as an option.

The GOA maps are enhanced versions of the game maps provided by GOA for use by DAOC players on the EU servers. The maps can also be used on the US servers.

Note: The GOA maps appear to be the same as the Tekener Maps. Some names were added to various locations and the roads are more clearly defined as shown in this screenshot comparing the various map options.

The maps shown in the screenshot are Mythic(on left), Valmerwolf, Tekekner, and GOA (on right).

IMPORTANT: Make sure you refresh the webpage in your browser window to see the new AddOns.
