Howdy Shul,

Hello, I don't know if this resulted from our chats earlier, but it is most appreciated as always... I feel that players going to the Origin's servers will love the original look and feel.

I have been using your outstanding UI now since it first made it debut here and it exceeds Mythic's by bounds. Although I have searched in vain for almost 2 years for the exact UI Mythic used at the games release it has proven futile. This is by far the best design and result I have seen in all that searching. Again as always Shul, the sheer monumental efforts on behalf of our community is staggering and I thank you for the time and energy expended to once more dazzle our screens with your handy work...

I hope you too enjoy the fruits of those labors as much as we all have over the years. If you plan on playing on Origin's please look me up. I am always available to help in any form or fashion. I feel we owe you a huge debt for the labor of love called Bob's UI. As always have fun out there and be safe friend... Rob.

Me again,

I forgot to add this in my last reply and I hope you will forgive the additional post.

Several players within my guild use Bob's UI and make use of the WoW skins for a hybrid look and feel effect. I myself don't like the WoW game, but they adore the UI look in DAoC.

I have been asked to pass along a very small request on their behalf. Several release cycles ago you allowed the Floating player WoW window to be separate from the target WoW window. In a sense one could have the original WoW summary thing much like that game shows , but use say Stained's target window. This only becomes an issue because within DAoC the WoW target floating window only displays health and all other functions do not appear. They use to use all the wow UI options, yet replace the target floating window with another form to make the appearance more pleasing.

In summary, when or if you release the UI again down the road they would dearly love to be able to separate the player and target floating windows as they were in the past. If that will prove negative to your current design just reply here and I shall pass the word on to my WoW UI loving guildie's ...

Thanks again Shul, Rob...

Hello shul!

Great UI mate, i just installed it and im loving it. I just can't seem to find the option how to DISABLE transparent icons? I want as little transparency as possible but the icons just wont work. I googled and searched the forum but i can't find a solution.

Thank you in advance.

Okay so basically what i want to do is to disable the Icon Pack 2 option completely, if that makes any more sense?

By default, the solid Mythic icon sets are used with the UI.

There is no disable per say for the icon packs as they overwrite each other and only the last Icon set you have selected will be used by the UI.

For example:

If you select the "Icon Pack2-Combat-Bobs" icon set you will get the "Transparent" Bobs combat icons.

If you later select the "Icon Pack1-Combat-Bobs" icon set you will get the "Solid" Bobs combat icons which will overwrite your previous selection.

If you have changed the icon settings and want the solid ones back, just select the style of solid icons you want from the Icon Pack1 and ignore the setting for the Icon Pack 2 icons as only the last ones you selected will be used.

Note: You may need to force the OptionChooser program to "re-apply" the icon settings by clicking on the check mark beside the icon set you want even if the check mark is already green.

Pretty new to custom UIs, so have a question. Sorry if it has been answered before.

How do you get custom maps to work? Also, where can I find good maps to use?

@Leradric

With the OptionsChooser program select one of the 4 custom map styles from the -Map Pack- option. When you use the Map window in game, the custom maps will automatically be loaded as you move from zone to zone. If a custom map is not available, the game client will load the default Mythic map for the zone you are in.

I included map styles from Valmerwof and Tekener for use with BobsUI. They are the most up to date maps for the game that I know of. Tekener updated some of his maps which I will include in the next release of the UI.

@Umi_Swe

I missed each of the Catacomb classes. I will add them in the next release

Albion

Heretic (Banelord, Perfecter)

Hibernia

Bainshee (Convoker, Stormlord)

Vampiir (Banelord, Warlord)

Midgard

Valkyrie (Stormlord, Warlord)

Warlock (Banelord,Convoker)

Nope,

I am not even going to try to attempt to edit the maps. My graphic arts skills leave something to be desired.
