Mythic won't delete character data with a server "reset". I have been pushing for character copies to Mordred and will continue to do so. My support for the PvP Battleground on Gaheris and my support for character copies from Ywain to Mordred are not mutually exclusive. I am just basing my comments off what Mythic has stated, which included the addition of the PvP Battleground in their plans.

Canoot posted:

The PvP servers always were the red-headed stepchild in the DAoC world. The people who played there represented a small fraction of the overall playerbase. Few people cared what happened to them then, and I'm sure even fewer care now. Every time these threads come up the majority opinion is "it's over, move on" and yet they come up again and again.

I think the point that frustrated PvPers are trying to make in threads like these is that if the PvP ruleset was never going to receive appropriate attention, then it should not have been created. Otherwise, it's faulty logic to say PvP rulesets are unpopular given how their unpopularity is directly related to their lack of development attention to address issues.
