I was in /advice and /reg the other day and one guy with two accounts /appealed me.

This is how sad Mythic has become, catering to over-sensitive people who get upset when things don't go their way. This is the letter I got which 4 lines were included that got me a suspension. Here they are:

Shadora-Ywain5]:[/reg get it down assclown]
Shadora-Ywain5]:[/reg mids trying reach around, mids trying reach around !!!]
Shadora-Ywain5]:[/reg i bitch because peeps are stupid]
Shadora-Ywain5]:[/reg dumb as dogprofanity, like you]

Is saying ass an offense? Or, was it combining it with clown? The Mids were coming around the keep to flank the albs from behind in the second sentence there. How is this offensive? I have no clue why Mythic feels this is offensive.

The third sentence is directed at no one in particular. How is bitch offensive when directed at no one? Finally, I did not say dog**i*, I said dogprofanity. This was directed at a person who was saying things directly at me and who later /appealed me but didn't get suspended.

So, I guess whoever is more offended and /appeals first will be suspended, even if they instigate the argument and Mythic will just suspend away on rediculous things and let the pther person who wasn't appealed off the hook?

My advice to you is /appeal everyone who says anything at all that can be construed as offensive. Just appeal everything and everyone if they say anything that you deem to be offensive in any way, shape or form, as Mythic will just suspend them and you have no recourse at all except to email an account that no one ever looks at.

Great job Mythic. Reward the cowards of this world for being over-sensitive.

If you said that to someone here, mods would take action against you. There are rules, just because someone breaks them doesn't make the rule makers wrong.

What's right or wrong in your eyes, isn't always the same as what a company deems right or wrong in their ToS.

Perhaps you should focus on being less of a jackass in region. I have no sympathy for you.

Agreed, I think the /filter command should take care of the OP's issue, however Mythic does not agree.

Which is exactly why I keep my language to a minimum in /public chats. Once I dropped an F-bomb in /reg recently and the second I hit enter I was like "Oh nos, I hope I don't get appealed!"

The f-bomb wasn't even directed at anybody and it was meant for /gu or /as I just type /reg on accident

Pretty sure burnflesh lost his savage from something stupid he said in /region as well...

they should like, put in a filter for bad words.

in fact, it should be defaulted on too!

EVEN MORE

you should have to actually turn it off with a command, just just a press of a random button so you only turn it off if you want it off!

From the example the OP posted, profane language does not appear to be the problem. I doubt he got suspended for saying "ass". I think it was the entire context, his aggressive personal attacks and harassment. We saw only four lines and but I suspect this might have gone on longer than that to get someone to appeal.

Using the profanity filter wouldn't do much good against harassment.

A bit harsh perhaps, but judging from those quotes you do seem incredibly immature. I doubt you would have been suspended had you only said one of the four things you said. It was the combination of the four.

Anyway, it's just a suspension. Stop being over-sensitive
