Logged in on a theurgist I copied to Pendragon back when spell crafting just came out. He was parked in OF (where Castle Sauvage was originally before they moved it further in Camelot Hills). I ran through each zone and it had all the old keeps but they added a couple new buildings toward beno. It was nice to make the journey to beno again. It's there, just exchange keeps if need be and release the bish. I have SS somewhere.

Why are we still talking about this? Origins is dead. It will not be coming back. EVER. Yes there are pros, yes there are cons. It could bring back players, it could alienate the remaining and kill DAoC.

I don't have the solution, but one of the impediments to new subscriptions is the belief (whether warranted or not) that if you haven't played DAoC for the last nine years, you can't compete with those who have. (I don't believe that is true, but that perception persists.)


A new server would be nice to give everyone a fresh start - that's one reason so many flocked to classic.


Yes, it could fragment the population on Ywain if they opened anything new, but a fresh start (under any ruleset) would be welcome by many.

I doubt most of the cry babies whining for Origins actually played before ToA was released.

Back then, if you did not have the right class and spec, you were excluded from RvR because you did not fit into some twits wet dream of a perfect group set up. RvR at the time was enjoyed by a very small percentage of the games population.

RvR is enjoyed by a much larger percentage of the over all population and every class and spec choice has some viable way they can contribute in fight.

Old Frontiers is dead. Origins is dead.

Wipe the tears from your eyes, grow up and get over it.

They already removed one of the "seas" by adding Agramon. I suppose the rivers could be narrower though.

I played since release, hell as a friar no less. I never ran into this. Guild + alliance, I was always welcome. Sure the elitist pricks wouldn't want my gimpy butt...but why would I play with tools anyways? Ironically enough, some of those elitests...joined our guild. Why? Because of the atmosphere.


I'm sorry your experiences were bad, not everyone's was. Find a new argument because this one is as a weak and frail as christopher reeves.

That is one of the good things ToA did for the game. It made a LOT more specs/classes viable options.

NF needed to happen, or at least the redo of the RA system that came with it. So many of the old RAs were stupidly broken. See Majestic Will, Mastery of Concentration, Group Purge, True Sight, Barrier of Fortitude (was it Faith originally? I can't remember).

Its not so much the amount of water,its the long baoring boat ride.

THEY NEED TO SPEED UP THE BOAT RIDE SO IT TAKES HALF THE TIME OR EVEN LESS!!

When it takes a solo stealther 20 min to wait rez sick,buff up,get to dock and take that long boaring boat ride to get to beno,crim or bled and get zerged again just suckz......
