GW2 looks really good. Well-run company largely devoid of the incompetence of Mythic.
I couldn't agree with you more...on all your points

Vindictus is keeping me away from DAOC unlike anything else, it's really fun and innovative.

Don't believe everything you read on the internet, that is how WWI got started.

If GW2 ends up being half as fun as it sounds it could be the way to go. They say they are catering to the rvr crowd and trying to be the next daoc. Instead of "realms" they will have three servers competing against each other. So instead of an alb/mid/hib it would have been like ector/lamorak/gareth as the realms fighting each other. And they said they might even rotate the servers you fight against every so often. So could see a chance for realm pride possibly being back since all servers have the same toons to play so not much point in realm hopping. And since they rotate servers you can't realm hop very effectively.
But it all sounds good but will have to see how the combat is, classes any good and developed well, how buggy it is, etc etc etc. Most games sound good before they are released and then you try to play them. But as far as trying to be the next generation of daoc it seems GW2 is talking the talk closer then anyone has before. Curious if they can walk the walk.
