It's Official - Daoc is Dead to the Producers |
[Locked. This thread is turning into a long rant. Please try to be constructive.]
Daoc has officially flatlined, and I'm afraid she'll never recover. Herald has been broken for years, no-way now of even knowing how many people are online, no real patches ever coming again and really there hasn't been any real support for the game in over 3 years.

All I want are serious predictions. Do you think Daoc will ever release a new server or will it officially dwindle into oblivion before they pull the plug because costs exceed income?

I know I'm kidding myself but someday I still would like to see a new server with old frontiers... but I'm afraid that it's pretty much on it's way out at this point.

DAoC will still be here in 2-3 years, probably 5.
It's pretty lively & they're still making regular improvements!

Nice try but it's actually the Herald that has flatlined not the game. Mythic's web page has been stuck showing Ywain with 1334 players for many months. There are far more than that in game at most hours.

I use to have balance to keep it fresh,I would rotate between rvr and pve(on a normal server),molvik and pvp on mordred.
Now it seems to be zerg on ywain or nothing,I'm getting burnt out again.
Zerging on ywain gets old.
There's no sense of acomplishment on molvik anymore.
Mordred is dead.
No new pve content.
All this = getting burnt on da game...

It would be nice to see some patch notes. It's been like 5 weeks, and the last patch was pretty disappointing as far as amount of content goes. Well I know they've been working on absorbing EU servers for many months now, so I figured that's where the small amount of work has gone, but surely spending at least 1 day a week for the people that make up the majority of the population wouldn't hurt.

the only thing that have flatlined are the Camelot Herald and numerous attempts(like this one) to bait Mythic_andy or any other MythicDev that are on these boards into saying atleast something. it still won't be enough for said baiters so they'll think off the most stupid titles first to post here and in the end will be the reason new subscribers or even re-subscribers will stay away.
