Maybe this has already been suggested, but I found the following idea in my trolling. I can't take credit for it so here it is. With respect to buff bots, make an NPC who you can click on and set the buffs you want. This gets rid of the need to recode the whole game, i.e. having to re-balance all the classes now that buffs are gone from the game. I think it is a great idea.

Why Mythic should implement this:

(1) Because the people who don't play because they don't want to pay for two accounts will now play again.

(2) The people who play now with one account and have to spam NF for buffs will stay with the game.

(3) It is a good faith acknowledgment by Mythic that buff bots are not part of the game. It helps Mythic because the short term loss (buff bot accounts) will be offset by the long term gain (more REAL players).

(4) Lastly, I really don't think Mythic will lose that many second accounts. If you want to powerlevel your toons, you will still need that second account. Also, if you want to farm stuff. There are a lot of reasons why people would choose to keep their second account.

I personally like the idea, that was one of the reasons why I left.. and even though I am playing again, at least I wouldn't hafta worry about paying for another account when I cant afford to just to keep up with buffed people.

this would lead to players canceling their bot accounts. so this will never happen.

otherwise they could have done this way easier.... remove all buffs from game.

buff bot will stay, belive me i am the bigest bot-hater that is arround. mythic doesnt have the balls to take care of real players.

The money makes turn mythics

The money makes turn the world

i explain, 1 player atm : 1 main+ 1 bot= 2 subscriptions > 1 player : 1 main + 1 NPC bot = 1 subscription.

That makes a big difference

What to do with all those classes that buff? The cleric can retire to the church. The shaman can research mushroom effects. All those players who like buff toons will have to find new things to do away from the battlefield. Now more adventuring To me buffing is a better aspect of this game.

Could always go with "concentration buffs are GROUP ONLY" and have a radius to maintain the concentration.

The radius could be the equivalent such that a buff bot could be parked at a Keep Lord and the group could be fighting outside the Outter Keep walls and still get the benefits, but if they were to stray further..(for example) as far as a bridge, the buffs would drop.

This would still give the players who like their buffbots some flexibility but eliminate the buffbot standing at the frontier keep maintaining buffs. People who want a buffbot would have to drag them along with them and park them nearby and risk the buffbot death should a breach occur.

Just an idea...

Simple fix: Drop the defenses around realm keeps, or whereever else bots "hang out shooting the breeze", thereby allowing them to be attacked. Of course a new way of entering RvR zones would be necessary to prevent spawn points being camped, but the easiest fix is simply to make the bots vulneralbe to attack. Easiest player to kill is one that is afk. This doesn't eliminate the advantage of a second account, but it does "discourage" players from leaving them unattended.

Fully support having the Classic buff rule set on the new Ywain servers.

Ultimately it would bring back more players than it would lose in buffbots.

Not to mention bringing back the majority of classic players it lost (like myself).
