Every great movement was started with a thought that others shared. The US was founded on a common thought. Who is to say that something as small as a game cannot be influenced in the same way? You never know. Hope and faith can move mountains my friend. Especially when you have many that share your view. After a while it begins to gain acceptance and favor. Then it becomes something more than just an idea. It becomes a reality. Got to have a little faith, patience and the will to fight for it. Nothing every happens on its own.

There is no hope for a daoc2, simply because the people all went off to different studios or founded their own one.

Mythic started as a team of developers who love games and dedicated their time towards an awesome game.

Time went by and with EA buying up mythic entertainment, they started to lay off all the old staff, world creators, original devs, community manager, and replaced them with "game maintainers" who keep the server running and try to satisfy the playerbase with as little effort as possible.
Take a look at people like "stuart zissu", check out his interview and you know what type of people run the show now at "ea mythic".

Daoc's life was over when EA took over. I knew this from the very beginning (command 'n conquer, anyone?), and I bit into my keyboard asking myself "why did you guys sell to THEM".


I personal look forward to matt frior's game, I also have a close look on what Lori Hyrup does, because they have proven with daoc to know exactly what a good game needs.

Well everyone always thinks that they know what a good game needs. A lot do in fact fail. Warhammer, AOC, AION. I played most new MMO's out and the pvp for most sucks. Daoc had/still has the best. Eventhough its older. It's still great. Like I stated, there is always hope. Especially when you already have the game in your hands and all you have to do is update, fix some small stuff and other minor fixes. The game is still solid from a pvp standpoint. It has potential even now. So I'm posting this so that people can see it and voice their opinions and desires for yet another great game. Eventually they will hear. But I do what I can to forward that cause and everyone that loved DAOC should do the same.

The time for DAOC 2 has long since passed. The best hope for RvR fans is that Guild Wars 2 will fill that void with its 3 server PvP.

This is a petition for DAOC 2 or as close as a company can get to it.


How many WoW clones have to kick you in the face before you learn your lesson.


Sorry, but GW2 is just going to be another kick in the nuts like Warhammer Online was for you.


Just because you have no hope, doesn't give you the right to bash someone elses dreams of a DAOC 2.

That is a great sound bite but it lacks completeness.


Those that founded the country, if you would read the papers written back then, had many different things driving them and they had many different thoughts concerning what the end should look like. Even among the founders there were conflicting thoughts.


The US was not founded on a common thought. The founders had many different thoughts, mostly their differing thoughts lead to a common anger. Anger is a great motivator and a great unifier among those who have differing opinions.


The US was founded by anger, conviction, sacrifice and action.
