oh, MOC is great, but it reduces spell damage by the listed amount.

I will probably stick with my Thane as I just feel like he is fun and the type of character I am looking for.

Sword info is interesting. If I had that anytime DD sword move I could still have slam? Even nerfed slam is better than no stun i suppose and considering I et mowed down before i get an axe combo off stun would really help. I find the positionals nearly impossible to pull of unless I am in the middle of a giant zerg and someone isnt paying attention to me. I definatly am going to start treating him a bit more like a caster who can melee as opposed to vice versa. So maybe 50 axe isnt the best option like I thought? Even though the dps from second chain is insane.

Two more questions!~

On my first axe combo it says defense:low penalty, and on another move I have it says defense:low bonus..... does this mean that my first one my opponent gets a low penalty (better for me) and if my move says bonus then it gives him a small defense bonus (bad for me?)

Second question, does the RA mastery of concentration make it so you cannot be interupted for the 20 second or so duration? This seems like a VERY good skill if it is.

yes, you can have the dd anytime (polar rift) at 34 sword, AND slam at 42 shield AND throw weapon at 50 SC.

50sc 42 shield 39 sword is feasible.

That said, I wouldn't go 42 shield for slam. Why? Because at 35 shield you can have 8 second side stun in the shield line, 6 second back stun in the shield line and off block reactional 7 second stun at 29 shield. It also allows you to raise your sword skill to 45 while keeping 50 SC. That's important because your anytime style, polar rift (with the dd proc) has a growthrate of special. That means that the more points you train into weapon the higher the growthrate is.

Is it more challenging to have to rely on 3 different styles to stun? yes, it is, but many players can strafe in a side stun on other players anyways...so if you can master that skill, it's essentially an anytime stun at 8 seconds rather then 5 second slam...and you have upped your melee damage as well, while still only using one style to stun.

the opposing group will have ~50% resistance to energy if they are alb

No played cleric will have the +24% energy resist buff, since that's at 48 pts into enhancement.. so only buffbots will have that one. Hence the difference between a hib group without a warden and an alb group, will be 6% energy resists (+10% CL vs +16% cleric resists)

Once again, not reading the specifics of what I wrote. ~50% (Do you know what ~ means?) 26 + 16 + any secondary will be around your 50 zone; this is me trying to explain to him why he's only doing half the damage >.>. Using the Cleric was my example of why damage was being reduced.

Also, we all know that in zergs everyone keeps us their champ resists... >.>. Just sayin'.

I was actually making the point that making it an issue vs Albs is silly.. since hibs bring the same resists.

We also know that in zergs everyone has a cleric in their group and that every zerg cleric will cast resists... >.>. also just sayin'

Ok guys got another question for you.

I decided to go sword. With Galps claw giving 5% spell pierce and my tablet for the other 5% I have now 10% pierce. I already notice even in pve my spells seem to land more often. I also got 42 shield for slam and I am loving it. Already a few times I have been stealth ganked and now instead of just meleeing him a little till i die I can slam him, snare him, sprint away, cast, throw weapon, and melee if i need to. The fights I lost, but were still SOOOO much better for me as a Thane, especially at RR3.

Good advice on the shield/sword combo.

Now for a RA question! =P
My shield skill is 42+8 atm which makes 50. As my understanding if I go above 50 my block rate will not go up, just my shield style damage which is laughable anyways? So the RA that gives an additional 20% or so to block. Is this worth getting if I am already at 50 skill? Will it help me a ton in RvR?

Same goes for the Parry RA. If I max shield and parry RAs will I be blocking/parrying all the time?
Or do the RAs not do anything since I am already at 50?

Thanks for the help everyone, you all are awesome! =P

No, I dont think that 42+8 will cap your block rate. There's a formula to calculate it, but I dont remember it off the top of my head. Same with parry.

Your block won't cap with 50 shield... and don't forget that since last patch, dual wielders get a bonus to cut through your blockrate..
