...It's also funny how Angry is able to get such a reaction these days. It's like the fans are physically addicted to the product such that any perceived attack is akin to physically removing access to the game causing the addict to go into withdrawal.

Your comment lacks perspective and context. People aren't so addicted to the product in question that they overreact to criticism; its that bitter-ranger is constantly seeking to put mythic and/or daoc in the worst possible light at every opportunity - he is malicious in his comments toward the game 100% of the time, which ignores the games many positive and entertaining aspects.

So naturally people see him as the malcontent he is. Don't always see people's comments as a defense of the product, but just as much a repudiation of bitter-ranger's completely myopic and antagonistic perspective.

Lol, maybe mythic shouldn't provide so much grist for the mill? I have praised this game to high heaven in the past. It had such great potential until they tried to out pve EQ. I still love the original game and hold the original developers in high regard. However, mythic's spate of laughable blunders over the last 3 years are legendary. When they make mistakes and risk people's money, I think people have a right to know. Yes, it is funny to see such reactions to the truth.

...So I can see that as a problem when you are pre-ordering 3 copies of the Deluxe edition. Think I'll just pick up my copy at Best Buy, if I get it (still undecided).

if you are ordering the collectors edition, you have more serious problems than just being charged in advance. people who buy this ripoff must be very close to getting placed under disability. come on, 150 bucks for a 3 dollar chinese plastic doll, a cd with ingame music and some digital fluff, that must be a joke.

in europe they are even trying to charge people 150,- € for this, that's around $215,- USD.

imho ea is the dumbest company in the whole business. regarding business strategy, they are not only failing in every possible way mankind knows, they are also continuing a long history of inventing new fails.

EA has three editions of the game. Standard, Deluxe, and Collector's. The guy was talking about the $80 Deluxe Edition.

EA isn't dumb. The $150 Collector's Edition is already sold out. I think the people that are buying it are dumb, but not EA.

Yes, I cannot imagine spending money like that for these goofy trinkets. A sucker born every minute...
