Beware pre ordering SWTOR. Mythic billing crisis spreads to Bioware. Jeff Hickman is running (or ruining) Bioware's customer support and billing, lol.

you're an idiot, and/or frustrated with your life, and above all a poor bastard (emphasize on "poor" if you can't affort 250$)

mythic's billing fiasco was about billing a legit fee multiple times.
you on the other hand just got charged for what you ordered. A lil' early but legit.

stop being the attentionwhore you are and find professional help.

Hahaha i wasn't charged anything, moron. Someone else was. I wont buy anything tainted by mythic people. Cue the Benny hill theme song anytime a mythic employee is involved. This was a public service announcement that billing problems continue . You are welcome!

its not a billing problem, most every pre-order i've done through various companies... did a pre-authorization charge to make sure the payment method is valid first, then imediately reverses the charge, this is to prevent people from using 5$ and 10$ gift cards to pre-order stuff, then once it ships the company cant bill because there isnt enough money on the payment info...

its standard practice, and why people should *NEVER* use bank cards to order things onlines... credit card statement the charge would never be seen or noticed... bank when it overdraws your bank account, even if its then reverse your still out over draft fees... anyone that uses there bank card for online transactions is a fool.

Actually billions of people use bank cards ALL the time for online purchases. The only FOOLS are the idiots that don't know how to manage their money, and spend more than they have. Financial education is lacking within the mindsets of MANY people, so if you can't manage your money correctly, then you deserve the overdraft fee. The overdraft fee should be a reminder to you that says "HEY STUPID! PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR ACCOUNT!", but like most people, if you feel you HAVE to have it now, then you will get it even if it means you spend whatever it is the banks charge these days, wouldn't know personally.

i use it for online purchases, outright, like paying my water bill, my power bill... things that have a set and solid i'm gunna bill you once for this amount, and only this amount...

but for subscriptions, pre-orders and the like... always use my credit card because it has more versatility when dealing with things like pre-auths and stuff.

That's a good idea. Most people use their CC's for all online purchase for the points, but you do have more push and pull when it comes to your CC, well, depending on your credit limit :X

Unfortunately I think Angryranger is right. This isn't the first person I heard say they got charged the full game price instead of the $5 price. Doesn't sound like it's just a pre-authorization check.

So I can see that as a problem when you are pre-ordering 3 copies of the Deluxe edition. Think I'll just pick up my copy at Best Buy, if I get it (still undecided).

if you are ordering the collectors edition, you have more serious problems than just being charged in advance. people who buy this ripoff must be very close to getting placed under disability. come on, 150 bucks for a 3 dollar chinese plastic doll, a cd with ingame music and some digital fluff, that must be a joke.

in europe they are even trying to charge people 150,- € for this, that's around $215,- USD.

imho ea is the dumbest company in the whole business. regarding business strategy, they are not only failing in every possible way mankind knows, they are also continuing a long history of inventing new fails.
