I like this idea but I think Purge 3-5 should all have a 5 minute timer. 2 and 3 minutes are just way to short a reuse. Purge 5 would basically make you immune to CC.



Oh you mean like the RA, Charge with the 1 min. reuse timer? lol w/CC immunity to boot!

They treated Purge like every other RA that was changed by just adding mean points between levels (with some rounding). In that respect, they weren't looking to "[do to] Purge a little better" or change any to increase value at any level in 1.108.

If you cant tell when someone purges now you need to quit the game.

also he said painfully obvious, not easily noticeable, there is a difference, and you just enjoy making 'L2P' comments. It really doesn't matter how obvious it is when someone purges, it could still be more painfully obvious.

Personally, I'd rather see the effects left the same as they are now, but have the ability removed from the RA options and rather given as a free ability to all classes at set levels, ie


Purge 1 - free ability at level 30

Purge 2 - free upgrade at level 35

Purge 3 - free upgrade at level 40

Purge 4 - free upgrade at level 45

Purge 5 - free upgrade at level 50


I doubt anyone would seriously complain about 30 exta points to spend elsewhere, and it would allow new players to feel a bit more competative with all the high realm rankers out there now.


Also not having to tie up so many points with such a necessary ability would allow players to be a little bit more creative in how they spend their RAs.

they left long wind alone, i thought hey should of left purge alone as as well was fine as is.

purge should not be a mashable ability, should be used as an shithitthefan situation.

wait for demez call out pre heals if slammed ect if in a group.


and as stated many times before, the game isn't balanced around solo play. ive never run more than purge 2(now 3?) on my solo toons and ran purge 5 on my 8v8 casters when i could afford it. its a luxury~

although i wouldn't mind the RUT timers being decreased as you progress in the line like was stated, going lower than 5 mins or doing that 100$ addition to immune timer is way over kill. re CC will win you a lot of fights.

I'm not so opposed to the change as I am this rationale. If you give the low RR everything the high RR has then what was the point of having the level structure in place. It's not supposed to be balanced when characters of different levels/ranks fight each other. The higher one should have advantages, sometimes huge ones.

I'm more sympathetic to this view(partly because of purging stun vs longer duration effects) but it does open up a can of worms because there are many active RAs that have little or no value in some/most of the tiers.
