Stupid thread. If you want solo/duo action that doesn't involve getting zerged by RR12s go play on Mordred. CV is garbage.

Removing people from NF is always a bad idea. Much better off just putting in xp quests like they did with other BGs, thereby making CV arguably the best way to get your xp 45-50.

That will bring plenty of people in, increase the chances of CV becoming another stop for those unable to compete in NF (like full-time Molvik and Thid players), providing a base of players to farm as you level your toons to 50, while increasing your RR up to 4L9 before you hit NF.

That would be a better option, imo.

Removing them for a little while to gain realm rank and catch up is better than losing them entirely because they're RR3 and getting wiped consistently by RR8+ players.

Stupid idea. Run around a dead server and fight 4 other people.

I agree with the OP.

I think it's really easy for new level 50 players just starting out in RvR to get frustrated by New Frontiers when they get repeatedly owned by RR12s. Changing Cathal to allow 50s under RR5 is a good way to lessen the shock of RvRing at level 50 and I think would actually help player retention.

This.

The only point I can add is that meeting new people is extremely difficult this late in the game. I have exactly one in game friend from the old days.

It's very difficult for anyone to get a group unless they have a known name or friends/guildmates in the group. This is a major frustration for both new and returning players.

Having CV open to anyone under RR5, CL5, and ML5 would be a great way for new and returning players to make in game friends; Emain Macha and the old school leveling grind once served this purpose.

The non-anonymous population is a steady 16-25 these days and peaks at about 50.
