You do realize that every single class you listed, aside from Scouts, has Parry spec and MoParry as an RA, correct?

Just checking, because you can't be seriously saying these classes are lacking defense due to a very reasonable 25% DW penalty to Block/Evade.

And Scouts are fine even post nerf. Yeah the double-whammy hit them hard, but both in playing my own Scout and facing others on my Hunter/Ranger/NS, I can say they're far from nerfed or ineffective. Rangers are still slightly worse off then Scouts, despite them having this apparently OPd DW too! Why is that? How can that be!? Because Shield + MoB + Evade3 still gives Scouts a ton of defense vs. DW. Scouts have both their forms of defense cut by 25% by this new DW, and no access to a Dodger RA to cap out both of them, but still survive easily 2x longer then a Ranger/Hunter in melee.

What's your excuse on the Thane, Pally, or Warden for having low defense as you claim? Parry isn't even cut and caps at 50%!

With Slam largely out of the picture, I would suggest lowering Shield spec to 35 for Mangle (8s Stun), and putting those points into Parry. Mangle is easy to land, and Bash (or Mangle) in group RvR is also now better to use then Slam for hybrids anyway. Just takes a very minute amount of effort to land'em.

One thing I do agree with fully, is that 1h melee and/or styles need to get a bit of a damage beef-up. It's just not as competitive to 2h and DW as it used to be. Especially for classes that don't have an option to switch to DW or 2h, I think some improvements to 1h DPS output are warranted. (Flex for Reavers/Ticks is a good example of a solid 1h line. Thanes/Valks too have decent 1h styles with those DD procs. These should be common in 1h lines, but only when used while using a 1h weapon!)

While it is true, assassins REALLY didn't need the help (even though it seems mythic likes to give assassins a love patch every few patches...) I didn't mind the shield penetration given to the light tanks of the realm, in addition, I really didn't mind the 9 second slam nerf.

I would like to see assassins get a nice strong nerf in the next patch, mostly on poison damage (removal of viper + poisonspike would even it out, additonally adding a timer on the DoT proc on the weapon would also help, also nerfing the NS magic would be nice as well, there is absolutely no reason missing a perf should still result in an opening damage of 40% of someones health).

I do, however, agree with Thanes. I do love them, but the slam nerf realllllly hurt.

The fact that you think Paladin's are bad now indicates that either:
1. This is a blatant troll.
2. You have no idea what you are talking about.
3. Some combination of those two - indicating multiple dropped-on-head incidences after birth.

I waited 10 years before I rolled my hunter. So far he has been my fastest toon to get RR and I don't feel crappy when I run solo. I can't tell you how much joy it is to get passed by three enemy realm members and not suffer an instant death.

Part of me understands that slam is rather overpowering at 9 seconds, even if it has been in the game for years. However when you play a class such as Warden which depends on it for keeping your group alive - it's a bad nerf for certain classes which just didn't need it, although I'll live with it

The only thing I'd like would be for slam to become available at a lower spec. Given that shield has been hurt quite badly, allowing shield users to gain slam at lower specs might be a better compromise. Swapping slam (42) with either mangle (35) or bash (29) would compensate the classes which depended on slam by allowing them to put more points elsewhere. It's not that many points, but it's something.

Warden
--------
Same boat as the paladin. Nobody enjoyed playing this class even when they could block people but now they're complete trash. Why would anyone want to play a melee class with god awful melee damage that's based around defense but doesn't actually block anything but has some mediocre backup heals? Answer: They don't.

Ummm... I played a Warden to RR7 back before/directly after ToA release and it was and remains my favorite character that I've ever played in DAoC. Getting kills on a pre-ToA Warden meant something. They didn't even have a shield spec back then, much less the shield stuns, OP HoTs, Celerity and BM styles they have now. Bubble, Parry and casted heals were your only class defense back then, and it was WAY more fun that way.
