Here is what I think they should do to make crafting a little easier. Shouldn't make much of a difference except that it will be much easier to find and buy the materials you need to craft a gem.
Instead of right clicking on the jewel in the crafting list in order to bring up the requires materials, add an option for an orderform receipt that you can put into your inventory. Hand this orderform receipt to the proper merchant that sells the crafting supplies, and he asks "for how many items would you like materials for?", You answer 1, 5, or 100, he replies "that will cost you 'this much gold', do you accept'?, and then you get all the required materials in your inventory for a certain gold price.
They could also add more information to spellcrafting gems before you buy them. They should have the imbue utility, as well as actual effect, and if these were available as a mouse-over function, that too would be great. So you pull up the spellcrafting gem list, click on "earthen essence stone", a drop down list comes up, you hold your mouse over top of "Perfect earthen essence stone", it says "adds +28 constitution, imbue utility: xx points", then you click on a scroll icon beside it to put the scroll receipt in your inventory, hand that to the merchant and you are ready to go. You wouldn't need to rely on email and DAOC template makers for someone to email you a recipe list so you can go and do all the SC'ing.
Actually maybe there is an easier way to do this. You know when you click on a gem and you could get a message that says "you need an alchemy table" or "you don't have the required supplies to craft this item". Well add a function that first asks if you currently have a crafting merchant shop window open, and then if you do and you are standing right next to the guy, have a pop-up menu that says "for how many items would you like materials for?", and.. well if you read the rest of the post then you know how it works from here.
This would be a good project for a summer intern or someones that got nothing to do. Not much complicated programming, though maybe it would tedious given all the different crafting recipes, and crafting merchant types in the game. Its a nice feature but there are better things to be working on, and for now I'll just suck it up when I gotta right click on a gem and then individually buy all the supplies for it.

Second, almost everyone is discussing additions to the game or fixing problems that exist. While it is true that a problem can be fixed by removing the faulty code that causes the problem, that kind of "taking away" is actually an addition.

A mail system at this point in time with the game's lifecycle probably isn't feasible, unless they can borrow something from Warhammer somehow.
But the game BADLY needs a way to be able to pass gold/plats between alts. Surely something can be coded into the house vault system to allow it to store plats too. Even if the amount that can be stored is relatively modest (10p say) it would still really help.

FYI:
I just checked out the Enchanter changes on Pendragon and noticed that the delves no longer display damage types for some spells.
Things like Root, Stun, Debuffs no longer display the damage type they are based on. I've sent in feedback.

Sometimes you have very well thought out posts (about half the time) with excellent ideas (like the first post in this thread) and other times it is like some annoying adolescent in desperate need of attention logged in with your account.

Actually a mail system is not difficult to code. Mostly it could be separate from the normal game servers, a separate single blade that accepted messages and attachments and would hold them for later pickup. The interface (mail box) in the game would let players access the mail server.
I am sure that a great deal of the code is available via WH. I agree with the OP, this game has needed a mail system for a long, long time now.
But you are probably correct that it is not something they will work on at this point in the games livecycle.

I agree that the game BADLY needed a way to pass gold/plat for a long time.
A possible alternative could be to change the CM interface to allow players to ‘add’ and remove plat. That should be easy to set up (a few hours of code changes and testing is all it should take). Much easier than mail.
An account vault keeper, that accepted deposits up to 10 plat, would not be difficult to code. With an account vault players without a home could also transfer items and plat. They could put an account vault NPC right next to the normal vault NPCs.

i would like the ability to wear 2 or more myth.. and switch between them like you can right and left weapon etc...
so if i need power i can switch to it without having to open my packs and equip it while trying to kite etc.

More assassin missions. Like kill a certain class or RR character.
Give Megalodon a huge overhaul and make the items the best in game that it drops. Would bring alot of water pvp and be hard to get those certain items. Also would make easy rp's if the chineese wanted to try and farm. (Medal of Honor?)
Along with assassin missions add bounty's. Offer decent rewards for killing players like 1-10p or so.
You want more in the bg's solo or group you gotta offer something.
Get rid of leveling artifacts, that phase is over
ML's need overhauled
What if one realm had control of all the keeps of another? why not let that realm invade the others housing zones until they get their keeps back. Just an idea would be fun to go around and kill all their cm's etc. Teach people not to x realm as much, dont want to lose your porters/cm/etc

what i would really like to see is warguard working gainst archery again.
going back to the old archery system and bring block and the valewalker arrowblock style to the old values against archery would also be an issue of major greatness.  there is far to many worthless archer trash leeching around in this game. :/
