Long duration CC is one of the things that makes DAoC what it is. This should not be nerfed or we'll end up with WAR

So your argument is that there is no other MMO on the market like DAOC so they should change DAOC to be like every other MMO on the market? The only reason this game still exists is that it is different from other MMOs and its differences have gained it a dedicated following of die-hard fans. Daoc is a hard game to play. It is fast paced, brutally unforgiving, and designed to reward skill over all else. If you take that away you may as well just shut down the servers.
Learning to deal with Mez is a skill that you have to develop and incorporate into your gameplay, RAs, group setup, class choice, template, etc... If you have never developed that skill it is not the game's fault.

Imagine the old days with a 30 min purge and running around on a caster with no demezzers hehe. Mezz is as nerfed now as it ever has been. The next step is to remove it and we can all run around with +1 sticks and swat each other to death.

I HAVE A SOLUTION!
Remove most RAs, including Purge, Det, MoC, etc. Remove anything that counters CC and take us back to ~2002. Then it won't matter what class you're playing.
