This is becoming more true with the new improved realm buffs. But it won't be fully true until realm buffs are as good as buffbot buffs.

Better still, remove all buff speclines from the game and give all classes the same self-buffing system that Vampiirs use. Problem solved.

I could see a realm ability that gave you buffs. Maybe capped out at 145/150. Sure, lot of RSPs down the drain, but I'd spend points in it.

Or maybe they feel that *any* online game which requires you to run a second account to be competitive is poorly designed and flawed?

if you arent anti social, make some friends and find a guild, they will cover your buffs.

How? With their buffbots no doubt? Most *actively played* support classes are not full buff spec. So guilds use buffbots too. This means if you don't have your own buffbot you end up harassing someone else to give you buffs from their buffbot all the time, which ironically is rather antisocial and can cause friction.

or play a self buff class, if it sounds fun to you.

Full buff spec shamans, clerics, druids etc are not a lot of fun to play, apart from the minority who get a kick out of buff shearing (probably the same people who get a kick out of nearsighting anything that moves). Other buff classes only have baseline buffs so you need to top them up with buffbot or realm buffs.

at the end of the day, thers always a way to play without a 2nd account. but people like to dramatize everything.

No that's someone tearing holes in your position.

Back on topic, like I said play whatever class you want. With realm buffs you will always be buffed, not maxed but it's better then potions and lasts longer.

Nowadays with NPC buffs they arent too far from capped buffs. No need to depend on a bot to compete. Its not all that much of a difference.

so how is a bot cheating?

and how is he tearing holes in my opinion when all his rebuttals are further explaining how one can play this game without a bot?

It's not cheating. It's just an huge exploit that has been around so long that it's become mainstream by virtue of having driven off all the non-exploiters. Pretty much the only people left are those who are happy to exploit in a game to gain a significant advantage. Like you.

Don't be defensive, cheating is the American way.

im sorry that by paying twice as much as you i gain an advantage

even though that advantage is moot if you play one of the aforementioned self buffing classes, make some friends who do have a bot, use NPC buffs ect.

its not an exploit unless i somehow have done something outside of normal play~

EDIT if it makes you feel better, i will let my little cousin play my bot account. she can run around DL/SF/CS talking to people while i use the toons buffs. then you cannot cry that it is a bot anymore

Actually, mythic could have put a range cap on all conc buffs back when they put a range cap on conc endo on shams in like 2003 or whatever. And that was back before bots were super prevalent, so they wouldn't have lost out on AS much money as they would now.
