And I think the real point is, this is EA's job, not mine, and their customer support was absolutely clueless and not in any way helpful. The guy they "upgraded" me to obviously had no idea about the problem, a solution, or even the game DAOC.

And downloaded DAOC no problems but
When I log out and go to log back in it says it can't find the patcher
I reboot the whole system and I'm able to get back in but Id like to not have too. Any suggestions"

I can not log into the game with my characters with a computer with windows vista but you can with a computer with windows xp. the other characters in the account are ok.
The same problem I have with the another account.
I did some tests:
1. I deleted lotm
2. I removed the custom ui
3. I erased and reloaded daoc
but the problem is not solved.
Please help me, greetings.

stop deleting the files it doesnt fix the problem, the problem just returns the next time. i find if im just patient enough to log on twice, yes twice, i get in just fine. first time locks up, hit esc key and restart game, toon loads fine. i have noticed though that names keeps getting turned off and i have to go back into options and turn them on, usually happens when zoning or going through tower/keep door. love the upgrades mythic made but the bugs are killin me.

This is clearly a problem on their end. I think the only reason it looks like deleting the files fixes the problem is because you do it after you have failed to log, and failing to log fixes soemthing for one try. I can try from multiple computers with the same results. Hit esc when it stops loading at 100%, get "failed to connect" error, relog and get in.
Having to log in twice every time is annoying. It's not the end of the world, but it is annoying. What is really frustrating is that EA/Mythic either does not believe us, has not checked out the cause, can't fix it, or just doesn't care because no one is cancelling (yet).
Mine has not reset names being on or off, but has been randomly resetting me to Atlantis UI. And yesterday I had the same crash zoning into housing.

I tried this and I can log into my wizards finally... but not the necro... weird.
Go to Start, then run... then %temp%
Delete all files.
Log into game... do not use quickstart... chose my wizards and it went in.
quickstart doesn't work for them.

I tried going in and altering some appearance and stats on mine, hoping something like that would change things, but no luck.
CSR was supposed to email me directions to send them a bunch of files. Apparently this issue is now on their radar. Of course, he forgot to send the email (or SPAM grabbed it) so I am still without help.

Quickstart does not work for my wizzies or necro. I can go to the character selection screen and pull up the wizzies, but the necro is still a fail no matter what.
