I was having the same issue with my eld so I appealed it

CSR told me to go to (name of comp) i.e. for me Ron then APP DATA then ROAMING then Electronic Arts then DAOC then LotM which will let you see all your toons names that have been on your comp. Find the toon name delete the two files and u will be able to log your toon back in. unfortunately you will have to reset up bars etc.

also be sure to enable yourself to see hidden folders
to do this go to organize folder and search options

all this is for vista too but should work for others

HOpe it helps

if you want to keep your setting, qbinds, quickbars etc... may i suggest before deleting (rename maybe) those files, that you copy the info inside so that you can simply copy/paste that info into the newly created files

if they want you to delete the fill it is probably because something in it is damaged/faulty, why would i copy paste something back in if it is what is causing the issue in the first place? don't be lazy, just redo the bars.

Cause some people have an awful lot of things on their bars

I for one have countless amounts of macro's on my NS bars for things like buying specific amounts of components so that I can craft things even quicker

On top of that I have macro's to use items from bag slots etc

And I have all my styles on there etc

i understand it can be a lot of data, but your not fixing the problem. if you could identify the broken line and fix it then the copy/paste would be viable but what you suggest would simply cause you to have the issue again. do you really suggest that someone delete/copy/paste every time they want to log a character on? eventually this would consume more time than just redoing the bars. it would be helpful if mythic was able to tell us what the issue in the fill was, at least then if they didn't want to fix it we could.

I was/am having this issue.

I can get in one time by deleting the roaming data. I can get in an additional time if I take the deleted character files and move them back into the roaming folder, and I get my old qb setup back. However, after logging out it is broken again. In other words, cut files out of roaming, log in, no problem. Log out. Copy files back into roaming, log in, no problem. Try to log in again, broken.

This is on one toon, every other one works. It also is consistent across computers. I tried logging in on my bot computer where I had never logged in before (that toon, I mean), and it did not work.

Those of you who deleted the roaming data and then reset all your quickbars, did that fix the issue for multiple log ins or have you tested it yet? I hate to reset all my quickbars and everything, but if that is a permanent fix its worth it.

Here is the fun part that frustrated me enough to create a VN account; I talked to an in-game CSR, he tried moving the character around a bit then told me to contact EA tech support. Tech support told me they cannot help with issues like that, and I need to contact the in-game CSR. I finally called in and talked to one person who had no idea there was any such problem problem. He upgraded me to a higher level of technical support. New guys gets on the line and obviously didn't have any idea about DAOC. I told him it was all after the patch and he asked me if the patch was optional and could I play without it??? Also wanted to know what class the character was and I said "animist", he said "what?" (twice), then had me spell it. Seriously? Anyone who has played DAOC has an animist, hates animists, or both, but I don't think anyone doesn't know they exist. There was clearly no one at tech support with direct or specialist knowledge about this game. I get it that its old and dieing, but how do you devote the resources to all this new content and then have no one to find and fix the issues you create like water bobbing, ld on trainers, and CTD issues?

The tech support solution, by the way? Reset my EA account password, (not DAOC, the master account). I'm holding my breath on that fix. I can't test till I get home, but seriously, what does the EA password have to do with anything?

It could be something as simle as the file date, curruption etc.

also my intent was to leviate some of retyping everything. so maybe you just copy the qbinds over and so forth. Saving the file will also allow you to view where you had things placed so you dont have to remember exactly where everything was placed on qbars even if you have to retype it, at least you'll know where you had it

finally just try it, if it doesn't work you just redelete and continue as normal

Alternatively, if you're feeling masochistic, copy just the top half of the file, see if the problem reappears. Then continue with a binary split of the bad data until something goes south, which should allow you to recover as much of the old data as possible.

At a cost of some time and annoyance, but hopefully less than recreating your setup from scratch.

Your signature is spelled wrong... Don't be lazy fix it. Correct spelling "ou're you". I'll use it in a sentence to demonstrate the correct usage. "ou're an idiot who needs to learn grammar."

this was certainly news worthy, and I am sure the poster cares deeply that you feel he's an idiot for using improper grammar.

For the record, your use of an ellipsis was incorrect and you missed a semi-colon after lazy.
