The list of participants was sent around on Friday. Winners should be drawn this week.
Somehow that sounds a lot less certain then the wording of the original post.

Any player who completes at least one hub of the New User Journey (and hopefully provide constructive feedback) will have a good chance to receive one of the rings for a character of their choice on the live servers. If you complete all five parts in one realm, you will have five chances to win one of the rings..
i think you didn't read it all to well than.

No no, I read it just fine. It said that completing even 1 hub you have a good chance to receive one. If you complete all 5 in one realm you should thus have 5 good chances to win, which is of course a bit subjective and open to interpretation...but if it's a good chance for 1 hub, then having 5 of it should mean really, really, really, really good chance to win.
Talking about drawing the winners suddenly sounds a lot more like a lottery, rather then a "good" or "really really really really good" chance to win.
In short, if I spent 8+ hours over 3 of my (personally) very precious gaming evenings testing for Mythic, and I don't get squat in return when it was dangled as an almost sure thing at that level of commitment, then I'm pretty certain I will never test for them again.
That's just common sense, as it was meant as a reward for testing. So I just hope they are factoring that into their lottery mechanics.
Same goes if the reward is a total dud.

It *is* a lottery. They said if you complete one hub you have a chance to win, if you complete 5 hubs you have five chances to win. In other words, one lottery ticket and five lottery tickets respectively.
But I do agree this is dragging on and they need to get it over with. They should skip the lottery and just give out the rings to everyone who participted and move on from it.

Very true.
It's like I completed almost 2 (one and a half) hubs on different realms, so if I'm not getting the ring next time I'll be passing on testing something new.
Just thoughts.
I guess many people think the same as me.

I understand people wanting the reward promised for testing, but you shouldnt help test just to get something. It helps find bugs and all that good stuff and makes the game a much better place...
and why such a fuss over the Pendragon Ring... its what 2? 5? charges and cant be recharged. Not really a fuss worth item, mostly just I have a rare item toy~

Yes, and we should all work for nothing and live off trading fairly with one another.
That concept hasn't worked out too well for Pendragon the past years...not surprisingly. We pay to play this game, and since I am probably never going to experience the New User Journey in the live game, why should I test it on Pendragon? Sure I wanted to see it, and I even publicly applauded Mythic for the new system as it's really nicely done, but ultimately I was lured there with a reward. If this reward turns out to be dangling carrot after spending considerable time/effort testing, or worse it turns out to be a lump of coals, then it's a case of "fool me once..." That's just being honest.
The item was also said to have "decent" stats, implying that it would be useful and not just fluff, which is certainly a very subjective term, but it's those stats on the item that will determine if it's a lump of coal or a true reward recognizing a paying customers time & effort in helping them test new content!
I could have gone on numerous PvE raids or farmed for top level gear, or simply had fun in RvR in those 8-10 hours, but given a meaningful reward for my effort I would do it again, and so would a lot of people. Ain't no such thing as a free lunch!

QFT.
Also what's the point of making a ring with 5 or 10 charges that can't be recharged?
It sounds more like a spit in the face of testers.

Keep in mind that the stuff they wanted you to test was designed to help lure more people in to play, thus having more people for RvR and stuff. Testing the new content was really more of a long-term investment for all parties involved, even if some people were only interested in a shiny object.
