I don't see Blizzard coming out with a new MMO every year or so. It's just not good business sense these days, and I think that's where Mythic failed. They were used to pumping out a new game every year or so, to them it was natural, but in the end it bit them in the ass.
I agree. All the sweat that went into Warhammer Online should have went into DAOC. So with Warhammer Online failing did they learn their lesson? Nope! They put out an even more waste of space, Wrath of Heroes.

dont forget, also SWTOR now...
Jeff Hickman one of the executive producers for DAoC over the years, and was the executive producer for WAR, Wrath of Heroes and SWTOR....
SWTOR might have the bioware logo slapped on it.. but its just another mythic product...

I've been away since '07, I honestly don't even know my characters exist and working at EA I really don't have access to this information because BioWare controls all "their" MMO's. I was really considering coming back to play but it looks like all the old servers are down, can't create characters on them even though they say open just archived. It would be nice to have the ability to revive old accounts, I will send them an email!

i just restarted my old account
all the old servers were archived. you can log on your character and transfer it to the new cluster.
