sooo wrong...

they need LESS gold rewards in the game not more... theres alreads way to much currency in the game and not enough sinks to take it out of the game.

gold may be wrong, but I rather like his idea of RoG droppage, lot of it is really expensive for good pieces atm, which either means they are charging way too much for it, or there is a lack of supply, or both I guess.


as for DAoC 2012, I want these things:

1. Claw spamming LT spell
2. Aoe claw spamming LT spell
3. An ability on tanks from about lvl 10ish maybe once every 20 minutes a self purge of movement effects(roots, etc).
4. More lore. I don't care from which realm, there is a lot of untapped lore that they can use to expand some areas of the game.
5. Consolidated quests for champ wep/epic armor
6. Recent Live Event to be epic. Take over a capital city, dunno something epic.
7. make 15p horses not usable in RvR zones, give it speed of maybe blue/yellow bard/skald/minstrel speed.
8. Art department to work on some additions to the game, be it armor styles or new weapons. Honestly I could care less about it being better than anything else, just some new skins to play around with would be nice.
9. Keen valewalkers, asap imo. Since they wont give me a keen bard or druid...need a new keen class to play.
10. Keens as plausible treb and/or catapult ammo
11. Craftable 4 slot class restricted epic skinned armor.
12. PvE Appearance tab.
13. A quiver
14. Them to beat up and erase my tab from the Trifecta merchants.
15. Ranger boost. IMO re-add pathfinding with new spells/abilities, dunno what tho.


What we'll likely get:

1. Live Event going on all year in slow releases up until we have to fight some big dude and tkae him out to get a fancy new title.
2. Some bug fixes.
3. Some bugs from bug fixes.

rog drop is mostly /salvage /trinket = gold

its realy expensive because THERE IS TOO MUCH GOLD in the economy and not enough taking it out... so alot of people have multiple characters at plat cap, so they dont care how much stuff costs... and they'll pay the high prices

we dont need more expansions in fact with the population down they need to delete some areas and just focus on changes to whats left. take the areas you have, add some encounters, add some lore, if you delete a named mob when you delete an area put a comparable one somewhere else with a new story behind it. there is alot of space in this game that goes unused. give people a reason to use whats there, dont add more.

I rather enjoy that plat is easier to come by. Back in the say you had to farm for hours and hours, or have multipleacvounts or find exploits (archers vs. Typhon). All that, just for a few plat, then you had to wait weeks or months for a raid to net you some stupid ring drop to sell for 20p so you could build your temp. Now, I go farm pictish weapons for two hours, get my 10p, and go buy the items I need for my template. Screw you complainers, I like that I can get ny temp done in a few days as opposed to a few weeks.

Of all the ways to get money in the game...trinketing is the end all be all? LOL. It may net you a chunk of plat but come on, there are MUCH faster ways of getting plat than that. RoG jewelry also can't be salvaged so...there's that, and the only really expensive RoG pieces these days are jewelry. Plus you got all them diamond seals shit to salvage and that takes forever.

But I do agree that there is too much gold in game. A lot of people im sure have a couple+ of mithril at this point in the game across their toons. But even if they added in multiple sinks, the regeneration of plat probably would still far exceed it. Sadly, they've only encouraged inflation.

^It's a game. How does inflation even come into the picture? I've never seen anything on the merchants in housing at any price higher than what it used to be 5+ years ago, so things being overpriced on the merchants is a non-issue. I think it allows for a more user-friendly mid to end-game. As I said before, it allows people who don't have access to all the fluff like buffbots, guilds with archers, etc, to still get items they previously wouldn't have been able to achieve.


What I'd like to see is more NF incentive, less caster-shades, more melee goodies (Dark Age of Cast-alot), more CSR presence, an active Herald, real patch notes instead of stupid bug fixes that nobody cared about to begin with...


Oh, did I mention more melee goodies? Casters completely dominate this game now to the point that, aside from relic attempts, nobody really wants to take keeps/towers, they just run around in 8v8 groups with a bunch of extension-oriented caster dps.
