..not because of the content/lack of players, but the players themselves. I made a toon on ywain as I have none, got him 24 and geared, only to see, on multiple sessions, enemy players not attacking each other. In all of the shitty MMOs I've played this is the only one I've seen where players intentionally won't kill each other for some reason.

Game's been out for 10 years, man; players know each other. That sense of community among players and notoriety among enemies is something that draws me into the game, and it's a feature of MMOs that's become lost in favor of the more modern cross server instanced PvP that pits millions of anonymous players against each other and feels more like an addon to a PvE game than anything else.

well, looks like you were looking for a reason to leave before you ever started. You hit the first large BG. You probably had some guys leveling hoping the others would not attack.. and vice versa. Some are there for leveling only and do not care for rvr at that stage. Or they killed the others already and they knew they were not worth RPs yet.

Incorrect assumptions >> void post. It looks like you invented a reason to disagree with me before even reading the body of the thread.

among all of the stupid QQ I QUIT!!!! threads i've seen in the last 10 years, this is the one with the best logic and the most information about what the profanity happened. seems like the op is mad and he should go back to playing wow for his own sake.

QQ because someone didn't die in an RvR zone. I'm not sure what just happened here.

I agree with b0xy here.

In BGs especially. You figure in the 10 year factor, and the fact that it's a low level BG...cmon. People will know each other, have killed each other, and respect one another enough that they may not KoS.

While it is a war game, you'd also have to realize that while war is not fair, many places had set rules. Not all wars were run like Genghis Khan, if its red its dead.

I remember a lot of times in the original thidranki where'd I'd be saved by an opposing realm. Once we killed the overwhelming force, we /bowed or /saluted and went our separate ways. Doesn't mean we never killed each other though.

OP it will get a little better as you level on.

I respect people who don't kill PvE'ers in BG's and I often don't kill them myself. And i respect people who are trying to play in lesser numbers than me, though i don't get any respect when I solo.

Anyways the days of realm pride are gone, now its just about RP farming. but the game itself is still fun with respect to RvR.

I was in Cathal Valley last night, when a group member said something along the lines of...

"I'm in vent with that Hib group - their my friends, don't kill them, kill the albs."

A couple of us dropped group, informed him politely that his attitude was going against the spirit of the game, and made our own group.

No one likes cross-realmers, but what you are talking about sounds like it may be a simple case of "Don't kill them so they don't kill us." - Which happens in every MMO, especially WoW PVP servers.

Regardless, good luck to you and see you in future MMO's.

I agree with the OP ,it makes the game lame and boring it should always be red = dead.
