Got the letter a few weeks ago, still no ring. Has anyone gotten one yet?

Well at least you got the letter!

I spent 3 nights doing the entire Alb set and didn't get jack to show for it despite my multiple "excellent" chances I was promised. You can be sure it'll be the last time I beta test for this game. The instructions were vague, downright misleading if you ask me, and then the final reward is both underwhelming and certainly hasn't arrived shortly after the patch as promised either.

Fool me once...


This set a terrible precedent for future testing of patches.

It's sad the fact that they make some real nice game changes that are unniversally enjoyed but then go and drop the ball by pissing off the community by not delivering on situations like this


And always managing to drop in a stupid change amongst a new patch (reaver charge lol)

Mythic's intent has always been much better than their implementation. It seems that Mythic has infected Bioware with that challenge.

I haven't gotten mine yet either. However this wouldn't really hinder my future testing practices. For years I have wanted to be a team-lead or whatever they are called now, to have a somewhat minuscule reason to testing on pendragon or hector. For years I have submitted bugs, and not just me but a whole mass of players, only to see those bugs go live.

I tested the patch they promised the ring for, as I do with many other patches. And it's pretty much the same story every time. Bugs found, bugs reported, bugs sent to live servers. Bugs get reported on live servers, bugs ignored.

There is a longstanding bug with the ability to get into OF, and is more public now than ever. Except when they were working on the 'Origins' stuff over on pendragon, you could actually see what they were doing out there in OF, not exactly sure why they put some of the changes in on pendragon but...lol. I think I posted a video long ago on daoc.catacombs.com with the buildings they were adding with hookpoints etc. Surely you would have thought that the bug to get out there would have been fixed...but no...
