Would really like to join a guild with people from daoc. Especially for the 3way RVR again. If anyone has plans for a guild let me know please.

I have a better idea, why not just play DAoC? There will never be anything like it.

while i agree that nothing will ever be exactly like DAOC or replace it.

a few reasons why would be no buff bot needed, and i cant handle the old graphics anymore (aion spoiled it for me)

Reason to play GW2

combat.. you have to actually aim and you can dodge enemies attacks (you control dodge)kinda plays like a FPS.

No monthly fee.. instead of two (buff bot)

no healer class. i like this idea more, everyone fights and can help with support abilities if needed. its more about the fighter and his offense/defense rather than just about who is getting more heals.

a PVE system i will actually like... maybe lol

DAOC will always be my favorite game, but GW2 is bring alot of cool stuff with todays graphics and will have the awsome 3way rvr again.

I might try it if it's F2P. But it won't be DAoC, it will a different game.

When's the launch?

you mean server vs. server vs. server...i like the idea of 3 way combat, but dislike that its server vs. server on a rotating schedule.

Still in beta but the speculation for launch is april - may

yes the 3way rvr is server vs server vs server and it does rotate which i dislike too but it will last 2 weeks beforeeach change so taking stuff and what you accomplish will still have an effect for a while.... unlike anotehr game i dont want to mention that reset every few hours.

here is the wiki for the RVR it is pretty interesting with otehr objectives beside keeps. like holding lumber mills and mines for resources to build siege or improve the keeps.

GW2 looks promising.

But so did Warhammer, Age of Conan, Rift, Vanguard, Everquest 2, etc.

Hopefully it works out, I need something new to play.

Our guild will probably be trying GW2, at least a good portion of us. Link below for our forum.

Good news then. GW 2 will be B2P (buy to play) just like GW 1. You purchase the game once then can play it forever afterwards with no monthly subscription. Launch date is an undetermined date later this year (most likely later in the year than sooner).

I'd be interested. I'm in Swtor now but the pvp gear drop rate is starting to get to me.
