no that's not correct. archery is no bolt attack!
bolts care less about resistances, while archery attacks do. bolt damage increases until it reaches the cap (based on acurity), archery damage does not (based on dex)! to explain that, on a high rr scout you will only need ~300 dex to do "cap damage" you then hit for 350(-350). your real cap may be 500 or so. but even if you go for 450 dex you will still deal 350(-350). when you look at bolts you going from 300 to 350 acurity is a real damage increase for lets say 800(-100) to 1000(-125).
the chance to hit should be also different. you may see that when fighting high level mobs. bow attacks will hit very easy.
I'm not saying ALL archery attacks. There is a specific one we are talking about that behaves very similar to bolts. Mythic DID enhance bolts when they enhanced that 1 particular archery spell (I say spell because that's what archery has turned in to, just with different graphics)
Anyway nice analysis.
And before we go any farther, I loathe and hate all archers as they are the scum of the earth in DaoC whose sole mission is to leech every fight they see. Mythic should never have turned them in to carebear EZ mode casters with stealth, huge range and crazy stupid amounts of get away tools. It ruined the visible solo game for most and is ruining the game.
