why whinge about other classes on an acolyte board? when you could go to that board and whinge all you like.

Don't mad, k? I play 0/3 archer classes, and 3/3 Acolyte classes. It was not a whine and was merely switching the classes around to show that these are analogous situations, and demonstrate that this is a dumb request. As Devaster posted, it opens up huge balance issues for grouping since it would undoubtedly lead to QC being given to (at the very least) Healer, Shaman, Bard, Druid, and Warden.

It wasnt a "dumb request." Geeze. It wasnt a request at all. I was just opening up a topic of conversation. Didnt know if anyone else had ever brought it up before. I never thought about it before. I wondered what other people thought - people like Andyn, for one. He usually has something substantive to say, while you post little videos accusing me of trolling. You say I'm trolling and then you say I'm making a dumb request. Why dont you just say you dont think its a good idea and drop it. I would never belittle you like that. You probably wouldnt do that in person, but on the interwebz its apparently OK.

So there's class balancing issues with the main healers of the other realms... I hadnt thought about that. Good point. Personally I'd be OK if Druids got something similar at 35 or 40 nature spec. And Pac Healers could have it too, though I dont know what they'd take the time to hit the button since that have so many instas, but whatever.

Heres another dumb request: Be nice.

I remember back when daoc released, vn was a nice place to discuss the game. Those days are just gone I guess.

If there was a nice way to say "you did not think this through thoroughly" I would have typed that.

i fully agree with you, clerics will never get quick cast, and due to the fact it will cause uprise with every other healing/light support class its just not worth asking for or does a cleric need it..

hey even i have gotten over the whole 'give clerics acuity buff' as its just not worth the hassle and the implentations for every other class that could benefit from acuity.

as journeymen like windwlker have said, the need for clerics are something unique like a ranged interupt, or lowering (power and cast time) the aoe smite spell and increase the range/aoe range or the spell

I agree with the sentiment and Wind though, there needs to be a way to regain initiative in some situations. Its the same issue with heavy tanks, but they have 3500 hits/400ish strength, +10 to all magic resists and 800ish af(which I guess is doable on clerics too) and killer uninteruptable damage if they get close enough. I guess you have to play with LOS issues on either class though. I dont think quickcast is a horrible idea if they get it high in the smite line though. 40-45 or something.

I'd say a inta dd or something is more along the lines of a good solution. Again, high in smite to make it fair in 8v8 situations. Wouldnt help for molv or thid, but game should balanced for 50.
