Wrong...
I just crafted 3x 5 resists... = 16 imbue points
the 1st jewel got 8 imbue points, the rest both 4... yet the bonus level is 23..
<<<<<
On a leggie, three 5 resists isn't 16 imbue, since the "fifth slot" is bigger than 8 imbue points. So you actually added 12 imbue to an 11.5 imbue leggy.
That said, further evalution of the leggy shows that it's 11.5 imbue points (it actually has a fifth slot, the af bonus, and a sixth slot, the damage bonus).
Which allows for a one point (1.0, not 1.5) OC at level 39.
EDIT:
>>>>>
13str, 2 sword, 5 body, 10 con; 19 imbue points, 9 pts highest on a circlet lvl24
10str, 10 piety, 5 body, 10 con; 18.5 imbue points, 8.0 highest gem lvl 24
<<<<<
In both cases above, the "highest gem" is actually the fifth slot. So all the gems above are halved (rather than allowing for one gem at full value and the rest halved), giving you 14.5 imbue points on each piece.
My bad, though, for not making it clear that all gems are halved in calculating imbue points unless one of them is larger than the fifth slot bonus.
>>>>>
3 skill, 13 str, 13 con, 13 dex; 23.5 imbue points, 10.0 highest gem lvl24 HAUBERK
<<<<<
nothing wrong with this one. the DS hauberk allows for 23.5 imbue points (it goes up to 24.5 with the fifth slot).
