i am not the author, but may answer most of the questions ^^

you have 4 gems per items but 10 slots per quickbar. the space between items does add a "/macro" infront of every item so you get 2 items into one quickbar. also the space macro is named with the item slot for example: "Legs", gem1, gem2, gem3, gem4, "Arms", gem1, gem2, gem3, gem4 (on that quickbar you see instant what gem for what item. if you only have 3 gems or less on a item the slot is empty)

if fill in reserve is checked the last bar will be filled first. some people use bar 10 9 8 for crafting in that order. so they can faster switch to the item correct bar ingame. guessing you are on bar 1 and you use bar 8, 9, 10 for sc. then you want the tool to use bar 10 first then 9 then 8. because you have lesser bar switching (well that is not really important but thats the logic behind that option^^)

"Filter Bannzauberer" is looking up all the char ini files. if it finds a spellcrafting icon (the one from the spellcrafting trade skill), or any spellcrafting gem in any of your quickbars it detects that this char has spellcrafting skill, all other chars will not be displayed. so basicly it helps finding and selecting the spellcrafters by hiding all others.

Those are very clever ideas! And Filter Bannzauberer is extremely fast, considering all the work it does. This is an exceptionally good program, and whoever wrote it is a mighty fine programmer. I can't remember the last time I ran across a piece of third-party DAOC software that impressed me this much. Maybe never.

I looked at your program a few days ago. You did a nice job on it. I can see why you're proud of it. You put a lot of work into it.

Did you ever write another program after that one? I get the impression that you didn't. How come?

I like it too. Problem is, this other program is able to do that because it always gets its input from a template program. The template supplies the macro info (body parts).

But Mojo doesn't always get its input from a template program. If I put this idea in Mojo, there are two choices:

1. Mojo only adds the macros when you supply input from a template.

2. Mojo could allow people to type body parts in the middle of their gem lists like this:

Spellcraft change isn't doing any help at all.

Where's the advantage of clickin through all your gems and then import them into the quickbar or log in clikc through all the gems and place them on the qbar directly ?

There are spellcraft tools out there, that will help you create your template with database, etc. and then just automatically create the needed quickbars. so you just can keep on going with your calculator and don't need an extra programm.
