to continue with the thread hijacking, i think that the movement needs to start focusing on solutions
otherwise they are just going to be labeled another leaderless group of whiners
oh and btw I dont know if any of you have seen the comparisons made with this and civil rights movement, but that makes me ill when i hear it.
Where is this movements MLK? What are the movements proposed changes?
oh and proposed changes do not take the form of "just make the rich people pay more taxes" bring to the table something real

Well Westy. Bank of America, Citibank and Chase have all dropped their plans to charge customers monthly fees to have a debit card. You can thank OWS for that.
I mean Bank of America just posted a 6 billion dollar profit. I could see how they would need to squeeze $5.00 a month out of millions of costumers in such hard times.

The problem is that they haven't really solidified their argument, but in general it's to bring awareness about general greed and excessive exec. salaries and bonuses while they drove us off a cliff, as well as corporate influence in politics through the Citizens United decision and lobbying..

Who cares if BoA, Citi, etc charge for debit cards. I mean really, if they want to charge me 100 dollars a month because they can, and just flat out say that, that's their right. You can change banks just fine if you don't want to pay those fees. People need to stop bitching because a private company makes them pay money to use them. That's the whole purpose of a private company isn't it? People in this country have stopped paying any attention to what is rational, and have just started, oh that isn't fair to me, waaaaa. Change banks. There are literally thousands of banks who provide the same services as the major banks, and don't charge all those fees.
