That may be but it is a very good question and i have yet to see the President address it. Some how I don’t see anyone on tv saying those pore Americans we need to do something to protect them from there Government. Granted we do not have Government forces killing people yet and if we did people would just say that they were Terrorists. Funny thing about that is when Egypt and Libya were going at it every one but there Government said they were civilians. American Government would not stand by and let it's citizens overthrow the current system. Did not turn out to good for the British when we did it.

You're putting way way way way way to much power into the movement. The 99% that those people "represent" is more like the .001%. No one I know in real life supports them, only some people I play games with on the internet. The President doesn't need to address them, because they are all stupid. They have no demands, they are simply protesting to protest. I've read nothing on the NYT about their deamands, nothing on NPR, and nothing on my Republican channels that says anything about what they demand. If they had demands, and actually thought out things about what they wanted, then maybe, but until I hear an actual plan on how to change things and not just, Oh, it's not fair that they have things and I don't, then no one needs to address them. There was a an occupy Milwaukee attempt this weekend. They stopped all traffic on a bridge on the North side. You know who lives on the North side? Poor people. No bankers were drving through, no major coporation buisness owners, just poor people. And it was 15 degrees outside while they did it. Yeah, that's a movement the President of the United States needs to address.


Also, as to the comment about not letting the people overthrow the government, I would like to point out the Bush-Gore election. That wasn't an anomoly, it's happened 3 or 4 times in US history where one guy got the popular vote, but lost the electoral vote. Our system is still there, no one talked about starting a Civil War, etc etc. Our government is overthrown regularly in elections, some extremely contentious, but at the end of the day, we all look at it as, that's how it the system is. Sure my guy didn't win this time, but I know I'll be able to get my guy elected in the future. And the #occupywallstreet movement, isn't gonna overthrow anyone, cause they are just a bunch of dumb kids without a clue about how the world really works, and Michael Moore, whose presence alone should tell you the pull of their movement.


And for the record, I am a Republican, pretty far right in fact.
