The question, which is the best guild stirred up some old baggage of guild grudges that really don't exist anymore.


I like 99% of the people I see on a one on one basis. It's the ugly crowd mentality that screws things up.


I am sure Mid and Alb are getting a damn good chuckle over this thread as well they should be. It's not as bad over in hibland as this post would indicate.

87 members is our guild personally.. Half which are also old members, lol..


Only about 35 are active players.. would have to verify, hehe.

Well since everyone else has had their say, here's my input (from one of the original 8 members who founded HALO on this server).


HALO, is a fairly large guild with a wide range of classes/levels, who like to do a variety of different things. It would be a nice guild for a mid level to join to get to know people. By and large not many HALO participate in either RvR or PvP (with a few notable exceptions) they tend to spend more of their time helping guildies level or farming CF,DF, or EZ. Basicly, if you liked EQ you'll love HALO.


KoS, is BY FAR the best at PvP. Notice I said PvP and NOT RvR. In my opinion, RvR is more about capturing and defending keeps, relic raids, ect. In other words, KoS is the best at laying down the smack. Basicly, if you liked UO when it first came out, you'll love KoS.


Wards of Destiny and Sonoma Club (both smaller guilds, and neither previously mentioned), in MY opinion get the award for best RvR guilds. They are almost ALWAYS out taking or defending keeps, they work their butts off and get very little credit for it. GO PATTI and OHAAK ! Basicly, if you love DAoC, you'll love either of these guilds.

I love these weekly pronouncements that HALO is dead. We average 60 players on a day. Most twinking or leveling and anony. The only guild whose numbers I see DROPPING weekly are KOS's actually.


You have 2 groups that rvr every single day and that's all you do. Most of us find that as boring as shit, and I admire your ability to deal with tedium to that degree day in and day out. I don't have the ability to run around doing the same thing every day, no more than I can eat pizza every day of my life.


But I think it's a great thing that you can do it, and anyone into doing the same thing day in and day out are definitely your style of doing things. I equate it myself to working as a factory person stamping widgets... ANYTHING I do every single day would drive me up a wall and I'd never pay for the priviledge. So as I said in the first note, KOS got HALO bad there on the drive and focus for RPs.


Everyone who posted here from HALO doesn't play? I'm on every day, I see every single HALO poster here, every single day. Only exception is Montabon, who hasn't played in months. What do you guys smoke anyway? Gimme some. We're just not doing the same thing every day, we twink, we help guildies xp, we take keeps, we go for a relic raid every now and then, we rvr, we defend keeps, etc.


There was a point where we were bored out of our minds... and then we realized it was because ALL we did was RVR... that was when HALO was #1 in RPs. Screw that. KOS can be #1 in RPs. The realization that #1 in RP's is #1 in boring personality and tedium tolerance shook the guild pretty hard. NOW we don't care and many of us actually like the game again. Least til SWG comes out. Dying? I think not.


Dying for me is being stuck in a rut, grinding the same wheel around over and over. I admire anyone who can do it, I can't and most people I know can't. It's not what anyone with a brain will pay to do, and most people would refuse a job where they are paid to do it. This took me a while to realize. RP grinding. EWEEUUU. You just stay #1 RPs kk?

I had no intention of posting to this thread, but I do feel that I now have to defend myself because you have not only insulted our guild (yes I am a member of KoS), but you have insulted me personally. I do not know you, nor do I want to know you, but I have not said one bad thing about you. You don't know me either but in your last post you have insulted me several times.


First of all if you get bored doing RvR, that is your problem. Frankly it does not bore me one bit. I find it very stimulating. It's not what anyone with a brain will pay to do" is very insulting to me. Don't you try to tell me that because I choose to RvR makes me a boring person. I dare you to ask one person that knows me if I am a boring person. That was a stupid remark if I ever heard one. Just because you don't have the ability to do something does not mean everyone else is like you!


Secondly, RvR is not all I do day in and day out. I have an alt that I am leveling up and I also do crafting. I do other things too like helping other friends level their characters and complete their epic quests. I consider myself intelligent and motivated.


So when you showed your lack of intelligence by your statement that said I have a boring personality and am tedious because our guild is #1 in RP's did not shake me up as you stated. What shook me up is your oh so great ability to be able to analyze my character without really knowing me. Who do you think you are? The all knowing? It just shows your unintelligence to make remarks like that.


KoS has many fine people in it. KoS has some that act immaturely and some that act stupidly at times, but we also have many intelligent people and good leaders. We have our share of problems also, but I bet you can not name one guild that has not had it's share of problems and ups and downs. So let's quit comparing apples to oranges here. Every guild, even Halo, has it's good side and it's bad side and because we don't all choose to follow the same road does not make a guild good or bad. Thank you.

It seems the majority of the time it is a seem effort. I can only speak for Wards. At this time we are still small that we need the support from outside guilds. We just a decent amount of leadership in the guild. So without all the support we recieve from other guilds then we would be plunking away one keep at a time =)

Once again all you people that have issues with guild because one or two people, get over it. Aren't you about tired of the loser battle which half of it is caused by lack of communication =)

I have never met you/talked to you nor you me. However, I have heard it said that you are, perhaps, the biggest moron and prick in Hib-Lancelot. In fact, much of this has come from people in your guild. I have never passed judgement or said anything negative about you or your guild as I have lacked sufficient contact with you to do so. Your comments in this thread show, to me, that every single negative thing I have heard about you is, in fact, true. You may be part of an uber RP-farming guild and I have no problems with that, but it has come at the expense of you being the biggest jackass on the server based on dozens of comments as I was leveling up through the ranks. People like you have ensured that the problems facing Hib on this server will not be solved easily.

Anyone without their head buried in their ass knows this game takes little to no skill. I have fooled around with a 50 Enchanter and beaten smiters in duels. I would say that sicking a pet, stun and nuking 4 times is not very difficult, in fact it is as easy or easier than anything a Cleric does. I haven't played my Cleric in close to 2 months yet still have almost 100K more RPs than you. So, setting aside the fact that I have one character surpassing you in RPS and another that is about to, it seems to me the person implying that this game takes skill is the n00b.

I have had good experiences with people in KoS and HALO. It is a shame that morons like Ramstein and Patronus have to ruin it for everyone else. Fighting with realmates in a realm vs realm game is a sure-fire way to ruin your chances for success.

Anyway I only enjoy pvp, sorry but carebear pve stuff is boring Go back to EQ if that is what you enjoy.


Everyone enjoys different things in a game, some enjoy the pve(AI) and others enjoy the pvp(Player) aspect.


Enjoy your game the way you wish, don't knock ppl cause they don't see it the same way.
