I think Mythic should give earth Theurgists some kind of PBAOE spell. Chanters have speed, good pbaoe, and a DD with debuff. I think pbaoe would fix he earth spec and make it more appealing.

ahha! Raven a fine post indeed! Though you forgot to tell us the second story of the Demon Mythic and the woefull Theurgist. When the Theurgist thought he and his brothers had walked through too much misjustice, they sought to contest the power of the Demon Mythic. They devised a post with over 700 replies, tried to thrust it into the Demon Mythic's heart and destroy it, but to their dismay, in all it's glory and power the Demon cast them into the depths of nerfdom with one powerfull blow, and the heavens did rain fire that day. The theurgists were cast into the lake of burning gimps, and bondaged with chains of uselessness. There, the Theurgist vowed to repay the Demon for his acts, promising to cancel his account. I think thats the rest of it...

Here are the notes for Dark Age of Camelot version 1.63. As you can see, there are a lot of notes to read through that touch almost all aspects of Theurgists: earth, pet balance, ice, wind, etc. As always, 1.63 is not the end of bug fixes and tweaks - we'll keep working on outstanding issues for 1.63 and beyond.

After a long development and testing cycle, here is Dark Age of Camelot version 1.63. It started out development as a "Housing tweak and fix patch", but quickly mushroomed into a general class balance and bug fixing patch. We've substantially updated/tweaked/adjusted Theurgist's pet preformance, mana consumption, and made many more additions to their spell lines.
We know that there are more items to tweak and fix in the game, but we strongly feel that with 1.63, we've come a lot closer to bringing more balance to the game, as well as helping a very hurting class. As always, there are more things to do, and we'll keep working on any outstanding bug fixes and balance issues with Theurgists as we do future patches.
A big Thank You must go out to the Theurgist Team Lead who have been so helpful in providing feedback and testing for 1.63 as it has gone through the testing process. You should be proud of yourself.
Here's a list of just the major items we've addressed about Theurgists in 1.63:
- Many many tweaks and fixes to the earch line. Yes, we know there are more to make in the future, but the list of items done for the earth specialization in 1.63 is extensive.
- Addressed PBT (pusling blade turn) Balance via reduced mana cost. Now, if you have PBT, you will consume 50% less mana per tick while running it. characters with higher spec in earth will see up to a 75% reduction, and RR5 characters up to 80%. We'll see how this affects Theurgist mana consumption and make more changes as appropriate.
- Addressed Theurgist summon's mana cost. We are reducing the base mana it takes to summon then from 12% to 25 power. This should make Theurgists use them more often in battle without extensive mana loss. We realized that the pets were just less effective versions of DoT's.
- With the popular demand that the earth line have a more offensive touch to it, we have added a new spec line ground targeted area effect spell, similar to that of a wizards. Though this version will cover more radius, but less damage. This should help fill the Theurgist's class description as a siege warfare caster.
- Our data banks show that there is not one Theurgist who has over 45 spec in ice. This has caused us some concern, so we have decided to add an ice debuff effect to the spec line ice nukes, in addition to the already existing snare. Also, specializing in ice will now show a higher return in damage, putting it in line with spec line nukes in other realms.
- The wind specialization line for Theurgists is a somewhat complete spell line, but we have made a small tweak. The range for the area effect mez will now be 1500, instead of the previous 1250. We looked back and realized the range of 1250 was a mistake, just a typo. It should now be possible to cast this without the danger of being picked out by missle attacks.

actually, I think the theurgist needs lots of improvement. I only said that in response to your board spamming. If they'd offer a real viable 3rd spec line, I'd likely start a theurg, since my two favorite characters so far are a wizard and sorcerer. Albion casters are my favorite.

Well, just got off another board, and Mythic finally did it...
They /nerfed Attack Speed Debuff again.
It now no longer interrupts, leaving it to its bugged glory. So...what's left for there for Earth/Ice Theurgists to do?
1. PBT? Nope...been killed with PA, Rapid Shot, Volley, etc.
2. Pet? A joke. They are worthless.
3. DD? Please...
4. Debuff? Now changed to only make melee 'toons hit you harder.
5. Die? Hmm...pretty good at that.

Um...when did we even have a viable 2nd spec line? Theurgists have Air, and that's it. Both Earth & Ice spec lines are useless.

I wish I got a 10 second warning before somebody hit me with a Bolt or DoT. All I get to see is a large blob of energy smack me between the eyes so hard that my ancestors roll over in their graves.
<Notices Midgard runes circling or Hibernian leaves falling from the sky>

Or maybe it would be nice to warn the group healers in advance.
"Get ready to rez me, Cleric! I'm about to get blasted to the Netherealm!"

OMG Demonic that was soooo mean lol. I spilled my soup, started sweating and flying thru everything on the Herald for more info...haha but thats one hell of a laundy list for us. I think it's a great place for Mythic to start, hopefully Abaddon is not letting them rest until they look at Theurgys. Happy Friday all....

Here is what was stated in the Patch notes for 1.62 as to why they were tweaking archers:
“ARCHER NOTES
It's time to give Archer classes a bump in ability, as they have been somewhat left behind by the addition of many new abilities and spells in other classes. In this version, we attempt to bring the Archer back in line to be a fun to play class. However, it is not our intention to ever return the Archer to the sniping overpowered force that he was at Camelot's launch. These changes should make the Archer useful and fun, but not make him overpowered.â€
So Archers have been left behind by the changes in other classes. Theurgists have ALWAYS been behind… Archers used to be gods, were toned down, and now are demi gods. Theurgists have never gotten anything to compensate for the changes done to other classes. The changes done to other classes have theurgists even more gimpy so please fix them.
