I've been playing a theurgist since the beginning and I'm doing much better these days, too...but that's only because I have been playing my Hero instead.


Theurgists suck as a class. Earth and ice are broken, pets cost too much to cast and take too long to get there and vanish too quickly. Theurgist mez is shorter-ranged than every other ranged mez in the game.


Mythic, theurgists are the worst caster class in the game. Fix them NOW.

the main issue has always been about making the other two spec lines (earth and ice) reasonable to spend higher points into so that you can play and have fun with what you spent.


i don't know why mythic is not concerned about this. count how many ice theurgist there are playing on your server? count how many earth theurgist really enjoy themselves a lot in rvr?

Mythic needs to constantly be reminded we exist. If it weren't for Abaddon, we wouldn't see a single change to our class except for all the indirect nerfs.

You know what's sad? I was actually dissapointed when they changed the melee proc on my staff to a usable charge effect. I got far more use out of the proc than I ever did the charges, because I melee'd in battle between buffs and waiting for MCL to return.


Yay for 6sec PBT, Friction, Weapon Buffs and Haste! I really love these spells...

HOW THE HELL CAN YOU HAVE A CLASS WITH SPEC LINES THIS BAD!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Its like earth and ice are the red heades step children of daoc! My beloved skald class dosent even seem to be as sad as ice and earth are. (cough air is overpowered though cough)


I have no solution to what needs to be added, only that as an outsider to your realm even I can see this is `a good bump!! I think the PETS need to be raised in effectiveness in earth and ice. Earth pets proc random disease and dot and ice proc pbaoe ice damage would be sweet!

Yup I did say that, and yes I did spam all the boards, to my mistake I didn't realize that was against TOS, and I was warned and would never do it again, That being said its true, I do want people to come here and try, key would TRY, to debate this fact that theurgs don't need love, and all you have done so far is blah blah blah blah, show some proof of why we are so overpowering or keep posting and bumping the thread, but at least don't be a moron like you have already show us.

It's peeps like you that help add a little legitimacy to our issues. It's actually funny to note...of all the big threads on the dev board nearly the entire realm of midgard is crying for love while from Alb the ONLY class asking for help are the Theurgists. There is a murmer from armsmen but Theurgists Ice and Earth specs are the most broken and worthless in the realm and game. And when you have folks from other realms who don't even have theurgists in agreement it's about time Mythic looks our way...<crosses fingers>

Once there roamed a powerful Wizard upon in the realm who's might was unmatched. The mighty wizard terrorized and destroyed all his enemies.


The Demon Mythic saw this and did smite the wizard saying, "Let thy uberness fade and thy power dwindle and a new force arise from thine shadow. Arise Theurgist and take your place in the realm!"


And Theurgist did arise and it was good.


The realm grew older and the Demon Mythic soon felt pity upon the poor Wizard which it had delivered the gift of gimp upon and offered it new magics with which to fight its enemies and the Wizard did rejoice.


And the Theurgist did watch from afar and it was good.


The march of time did pass and the Demon Mythic did pity a young Sorcerer and granted him new powers and the Sorcerer rejoiced and gave thanks.


And the Theurgist did view this from a distance and it was good.


A poor archer gained the Demon Mythic's pity and was bestowed with some new abilities to pass through magics and slay the Theurgist.


And the Theurgist did sense the change and it was good.


The Demon Mythic did whisper into the Theurgist's ear and tell him he was too powerful for his own good. Thus the Theurgist's powers of weapon enchantment did fade and his powers of slowing and distracting the other magic users did vanish.


And the Theurgist did bend over and take it up the *coughs* and it was good.


Where upon the world did continue to change and grow old. The Demon Mythic did build homes for the people to live in and gather together with their families while the forces of good and evil was precariously balanced in the realm.


And the Theurgist was ignored and it was good.


The Theurgist did praise the Demon Mythic for its accomplishments and the Demon Mythic did laugh and bellow from the sky, "This was mere childs play. My greatest accomplishment shall be seen soon enough."


And the Theurgist was dismissed and it was good.


Many more years passed and the Demon Mythic did revel in its glory and power while the Theurgist did wander aimlessly about the realm growing weaker and weaker by the day.


And the Theurgist did fade from the heart and minds of the realm and it was good.


One eve the Wizard did ask the Demon Mythic what had happened to his counterpart, but the Demon told the Wizard not to worry and that all was well.


And the Wizard did not worry and it was good.
