How's this for a useless statistic?


Theurgists: last in realm point gains among all cloth casters for over a year


Necros seem to be lower since SI was introduced, but my guess is that's because most L50 necros are primarily used as PvE powerleveling toons for wannabe d00dfiltrators.

Crandell, I can't count the number of classes who say they are No 1 target in RvR if they do anything to show their class (or often by their looks already). You are a cloth caster, and yes people will try to prevent you from casting. They will also go for the Cleric, the Sorcerer and others... Anything new there?


Goldmaniac, it is definitely a difference if your character (without any pet) is occupied with interrupting an enemy character or if it's one of so many pets in a fire&forget manner... Pets also are how Theurgist kill their enemies, if you want the Wizard style spamming the better DD versions, play Wizard? If it was anything lower than 12% power, imagine the number of pets a Theurgist could pump out... scary.


Fire&forget pets are just limited by power cost. Of course I expect Theurgist players to demand it to be cheaper... just how I expect Animists to want more mushrooms at once. Hopefully not going to happen anytime soon though.

False. They're limited by time and by distance from the person you are attacking. VERY commonly I've casted pets upon someone and all they do is sprint and my "Fire & Forget" pets do absolutely......nothing.


How would every other caster like it if their DDs did less damage if they took one step backwards?

Like I said in an earlier post, your pet has actually done something... it made someone sprint instead of contributing anything useful. I consider making people run for their life quite powerful. Sure, a group can help the poor healer with pets on him, yet this will occupy more characters than it took to create the menace - one Theurgist.

Why don't I just use my level 1 nuke then? Maybe I can distract them by making them laught at getting hit by 3(-2) damage.

Lol I love how the "Theurgs are fine" crowd always uses the "ou interupt casters" as our defining feature.


Uhm, if that's my feature, fine, but there ain't NO WAY it should cost 12% of my power to inturupt a caster for 10 seconds, when said caster can use 12% of his mana and KILL me in 10 seconds.


Now think about the whining and crying that would start if EVERY caster had to empty their mana bar to kill a single opponent. Or if every tank had to empty thier End bar (well with regen it's kinda moot) to kill a single enemy (caster or tank.)


If Theurgs are going to be utility, fine, but having 2 viable spells, isn't much of a class.
