1 I'm half Dutch, but refuse to speak Dutch due to an embarrasing incident I once had.


2 I have 2 daughters (5 and 2). I think the 5 yr old is a lot smarter then I am.


3 I have 2 suits of armour, serveral swords and many other assorted weaponry. I fight in the armour and I'm pretty good.


4 I have a degree in biochemistry but have never been employed as a biochemist.


5 My lowest grades at school were for art, my first job was as an artist.

1) I love to cook. It's what I do to relieve stress. The kitchen has always been my sanctuary.


2) I graduated from Cornell University with a double major in Film and Asian Studies. I specialized in international film and have zero interest in working in Hollywood, despite my studies. I'm much more interested in the use of film and other media to express history and culture.


3) I get really uncomfortable in social situations with people I don't know well.


4) I've only had three serious girlfriends, but I've remained good friends with them even after we broke up. Never had a bad break-up. *knocks on wood*


5) I went through the entire multi-stage testing program to be a U.S. State Department foreign service officer (junior diplomat). Got to the last test before being placed on the employment list and fell .15 points short. In retrospect, with the state the world is in and the way the State Department is treated, I'm kinda glad I didn't make it. I could do the test again, but so far I'm holding off.


6) I'm a freelance writer for a vast array of publications, ranging from magazines to technical manuals to print roleplaying games.


7) I love languages, and I've learned many, but lack of use has made me less than fluent in all of them (except my native English). I've taken French, German, Japanese, Russian, and Mandarin.


8) I'm a Greco-Roman ancient history buff.


9) I have an extensive collection of sweaters. I don't really know why, but I really like sweaters.


10) Autumn is my favorite time of the year. My birthday is in it, Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I just love the crisp weather and colorful leaves here in New England in autumn.

1) I don't belong to the SCA or LARP. As a matter of fact, I find live-action roleplaying scary and strange.

2) I was deported from England at age 18 - seriously, no kidding.

3) One of my pinkies is longer than the other. I hyperextended it as a kid.

4) I was once the lead photographer for SyQuil.com, one of the US's largest databases of electronic music events. I also am a total bedroom dj (IDMish/click-hop).

5) I mix my mashed potatoes and mac'ncheese together.

6) I hate high fantasy and especially, Tolkien.

7) I date everything by the day, month and year last (9 Sept. 2004)

8) I have a rather long scar on my cheek from when I was a kid. My cousin and I sharpened butterknives and tied our wrists together, ala MJ's "Beat It".

9) I completely break the sterotype of 'gamer' by all means. I look nothing like what people think I do.

10) I find strange amusement in drinking and bowling in extremely white-trash and run down bowling alleys.
