another thing i remember was when we stealth took all of hibs keeps within a 5 minute time frame.. the csr popped and said its 'against the nature of the game' and if we continue we would be dealt with.

I always thought it was cool when I had my chanter and was out in OF PvPing with a group. Next think I know Garek is in the group and everyone just leaves and a DV group is formed with me still in it. I don't think any of them ever talked to me except Garek the entire time.

In old Emain: Retal's stealth relic raid that made hibs go WTF? We made numerous runs attacking the doors, dying then releasing to the keep and never attacked guards. Then we ganked the relic and lost it in old POC =/

The HK Gawaine players are involved in so many of my memories -- from the XP sessions to the names to the specializations.

I also enjoyed my early leveling at the ww fort on the hill. I think Gothar still has screenshots of our XP there.


Watching armies of Mids appear after wiping in the frontier and then watching the army ride out on horseback was pretty special.

I remember that.. the hibs said they knew we were in there from the loot bags.


best memories? my 1st 16 man dragon raid, enjoying casting theurg pets from the keep wall and having them reach the target (and visa versa). catching Kamill afk in a tree in OF and hoping he didn't come back to own me before he died (I was lvl 37 at the time LOL). the last day of OF.

I remember beating RG with our 2 skald group early on when they first formed. Then when they got some RRs and a set group it was near impossible. EF I don't even think we beat once.


My most fond memory is when they put in the couriers. After I read the patch notes I spammed IRC for someone with a hib/alb account to message me. I got Vorsh to let me use his Inf and I started the courier quests. Since it was the first week of release almost no one knew much about them and since it was 250g per attempt I got pretty rich fairly fast until other Mids finally figured out. Then one patch they became bugged and that was the end of it.


Holds Fens for months on end. It was Broder's second home. I even had level 10 doors thanks to the patch exploit and we defended it against albs for weeks as they took all the keeps but that one and apparently they wanted them all before going for the relic.


Obviously can't forget any drama. I'll let old dogs lay on some of these.


The most fun I had in RvR was when we ran a 2 supp rm, 2 healer, shaman, me, supp sm group. Hibs were relic raiding in Alb and Albs managed to fight them off the relic keep and push them back. Hibs were held up in Bold and hundreds of albs were out. We ganked literally tons of Albs trying to head to HMG to block any more Hibs. I even recall beating Cyce with 3 or 4 other groups with him. We were never really good players, but we were just in the zone that night. No IRS scores then, but I bet we had a good 50k IRS. Coupland eventually came in IRC and asked me if our group could leave because we were destroying the Alb defense force.


I definitely miss old Emain. If they simply put in a port system and left the old map in it'd still be PvP haven for everyone. Albs might complain about not getting through AMG, but they sure got a lot of RPs out of it.

I miss Ggary, too and his pine tree. And a nature druid that did the same in Ygg. There was also a Scout that enjoyed exploiting the zone bug in Ygg so that he could kill people at the border keep, but you couldn't get up to him.

My favorite PvE moment was a drunken romp Gothar and I had in Spindelhalla. We were early 30s and we kept running around the circuit aggro'ing everything and making our group uber XP.
