Okell - 1st Theurgist, starts off Air, early on no spirit resist (especially Mids) - Okell goes nuke crazy


Coupland convinces Okell that Earth Theurgists are needed for RvR when they first gave us the "one and only respec you'll ever be allowed" patch


Okell hates it - power issues for 6 sec pbt are impossible to cope with


Okell petitions Mythic for another respec. Told to feck off.


Okelldeux is born, again an Air Theurgist


Okelldeux gets to 50 and starts to RvR


For some reason Okell is logged back on and for the first time it is noticed that Okell has been given a full skill respec - probably at the time Mythic told him to feck off


Okell gives up and deletes his accounts, toons etc and tries Hibernia Gawaine for about 10 days.


Okell decides he doesn't like it and goes back to Albion Gawaine


Okell (#3) is born.


Okell (#3) is the only Theurgist left, TOA'ed, and with a few Master Levels.


Okell levels a buffbot, called Charnley (the original Charnley was an Infiltrator that I sucked playing at)


For the last months of The Oracle Charnley is played in RvR - I was nowhere near as good as Coholic at being a Theurg - and Charnley draws some praise for being half-decent (for a noob cleric)

Yeah Okell was theurgist number two, right? 26 earth, rest ice? Yeah we used to hit the echo and vig rooms in barrows for a few weeks. So much time spent there. Nowadays levels 30-40 take about 3 hours with a necro and buffbot PL team.


Everly, remember Renegade? Those were the guys we spent those weeks levelling in Barrows with.. don't think they ever made it past there and down to pygmy goblins (which was the next step at the time)


I liked the people in Renegade... Llanfair, Gabur, Ardoze, armsman guy starts with an H whose name is on the tip of my tongue (sorry armsman guy if you read this, I liked you most of all though ) - not people that were going to RvR any time and were just taking a break from EQ as far as I could tell, but they were good people

Hi everyone!


- The first time I RvR'd. I was a total n00b and around 45. Max and Knightowl picked me up and told me just to stick after fights no matter what. I had a blast and I think I thanked them a kajillion times for letting me go with them!


- Ding! 50! Then doing a suicide-run naked through trees...


- Muze and I discussing minstrel fashion.


- Landrew hitting on me with some of the lamest s*** ever.


- My first AE mez with my minstrel and all the pretty ZzzzZzzz's!


- Running RvR with my boyz! Norend, Tap, Slingblade, etc...


- Sling trying to type at the same time as and leading (driving) -- usually right into that bigass lizard out in Pennine (or wherever it is)


- Slideshow-graphics on relic raids.


- Old Odin's Gate camping with Coupie.


- Someone telling me Tap was a guy and I was totally stunned.


- Cradok guarding the Alb PK.

Yeah, I forgot to mention them. Must have spent at least 48 hours of play time with those folks. They eventually moved on the the pygmys just past telemon road, but that was as far as they got. Llanfair was a friar if I remember correctly and I think she made it to 50 before going back to EQ. They were definitely cool people to level with, though they weren't, as you pointed out, ever destined for serious RvR. How many echoes and how many vigs do you think we killed back in those days in our quest to make it through the lvl 32-39? 3000?

far too many mate... it is horrendous thinking of how long was spent killing vigs (and ourselves)


Honorbound was the armsman. I checked the Renegade board on Cammy Herald and remembered he re-rolled as an infiltrator called Tatu - fell just short of RR5 which for Renegade was huge.


Stormfire (at the time he was one of only 3 level 50 sorc's on the server) was another friend of Renegade, but not a guildy. I cajoled him to join Pallida Mors, but he quit the moment RA's were implemented for RSP's. Said that the whole concept basically encouraged zerging which he wasn't going to hang around and participate in.


Which looking back now I cannot really disagree with.


Me and Storm did our level 40 quest togehter (before the level 50 epic existed). The old level 40 DoA Epic quest meant going up to Beno near the Milegates and summon some roman dead guy.. lightning fired onto the pillars as you entered, then he ran from the far end.


Remember thinking it was so cool!

Joining my first guild, storm lords at level 35, then leveling up with malvegil. Then quitting storm lords because I was told it was keeping me from getting xp groups. Then passing malvegil by two levels resulting in him quitting storm lords too.

This thing is still going? Holy cow!


Watching, in Avalon City, as a Wizard who had just DA'd me, takes what looks like a telephone pole to the gut, only to see Patrol firing at him. It was HILARIOUS!
