Howdy all. There are really so many memories, but a lot of them blend together... things like:


-a full group of Unity back in the Max days hiding behind the rock next to the mid pk in emain, ambushing group after group of mids. I always wondered why they never learned about that rock...


-all the solo fights all over... jeez, I can't even remember the names of the zones... but there were great fights with worthy opponents at all the pks, and bks, and dodens.


The few specific things that stick out:


1. Hunting in emain with Sabien, Tissue, and Ravinsrage after a huge but failed relic raid. There were literally 100 hibs camping amg, 50 more at least retaking the mk... and the four of us killing and killing and killing around the tower and beaver hill. The four of us killed at least 3 full groups of hibs coming to help retake keeps, and probably had 60 or 70 killspams -- an hour and a half of solid adrenaline. I still remember Tissue's exclamation "Jesus Christ!" as I waved my hands in the air to AE mez that third group, lol. Best time ever.


2. Defending an alb keep duo with Kalinoir against about 2.5 groups of mids. We played tag all around the inside and outside of the keep, and probably killed each one of them at least 3 times before it was over.


3. Running up the excalibur road and coming upon a grave in the road: "Cautionhibzergahead". (This was during the corpse summoner madness, when there were always at least 50 hibs nearby.) Truly hilarious.


There are many more, but you probably won't even read this much, so I'll stop now.

I remeber the crazy fights i had when ToA first came out. Best groups ever. Me, Gaurock, Paval ( lol hi vew ), Gothar, Bushness, Mr2, Babyhuey ( >< ), and good ol' Melal. Those were so much fun If only WoW wasn't so terrible with the group pvp aspect. I swear that game is World of 1v1craft.


Also, Marhom is a terrible terrible Warlock, don't listen to what he says.

Arc still remembers when Hibs had retaken Cruach and the 3 healers dropped off the side just out of view and I stood there blocking like 50 hibs and managed to kill a few while the healers SH'd me.

LMAO Lillies my bish, i think that was one of the funniest guild names i ever saw, and surpisingly enough it didn't get nerfed for quite some time.


Rainer and i in a pic i cant find (both around lvl 7 first week doac came out) on our bards fighting right alongside everyone else and not playing songs becuase we were "battle bards" still cracks me up.


When i went to mid from hib for about 2 months and there were people there that wouldnt talk to me because they hated my bard ganking them in the frontier.


people whining about getting killed while xping in the frontier lol.


Chooch's army. the guy had like 7 accounts activated at once for a while i swear.


<Wraith> on mordred, first time i got to play along with alot of the alb/mid gawaine peeps.


Being in Mithril hammer with Panhead was awesome, really fun laid back guild with non stop banter.


Old school gawaine really was a FUN place to play. I looked forward to the non stop whining on the boards, the constant drama, and the fun of irc. I can honestly say that the first 2 years of daoc was my favorite time in any game. So many funny things and so many a-holes coming and going over that period.

When level 50 actually meant something, so when you dinged, half the realm would send you "Grats!" PMs.


Hib relic raids in collary, I'd scout out the entrance and take out stragglers. Everything else, I'd report to the CG and they'd usually be able to take em out. Too bad we never got a relic like that

-Oracle guild chat, by far some of the most interesting conversations I've ever seen


-Making my first toon, a friar, a week after DAOC opened thinking "hey this class sounds pretty bad-arsed"


-stopping by Retal's place one saturday when he was leading a Sidi raid and watching him simultaneously move his toon around, leading the raid, type out complex instructions on what everyone needed to do, absolutly REAM some poor bastage that kept lagging everywhere and pulling crazy aggro that killed half the raid, and reaming the same guy in /tells when the dude was trying to talk crap to him in private. Truely an amazing feat of typing skillz


-thinking ppl were bullshitting me about Charnley being a scott, tillI heard him in vent sounding like Groundskeeper Willie


-Early saturday and Sunday morning runs through Hib DF, and logging in and out when the rangers and NS's started looking for me


-teaming up with a NS (sorry man, I allways forget your name unless I look at the screenshots) in DF to whack some mids.


-Having a quest I really needed to knock out and while I ask and ask and ask RL friends to help me with it, the only one who actually did was Charnley, who secretly is actually a pretty decent guy (at times)


-Oracle guild groups, and all the fun

mid mmg... dropping a SW and just farming pug's and stray people until ON or LARFO came..

watching Gaurock threaten me in irc due to speedwarps at the mmg...

playing with LARFO on Bandant and farming a hurb tower for a good hour or so... must have been at least 6 groups of albs

god... too many memories of this game
