Leave the keyboard alone, lean back, enjoy a coke (or any other prefered soft drink) and just relax a few minutes. You have earned it

And no matter how long ti takes, right after you made it work again you deserve a good holiday

No hathred or whatever here, no "I hope you will fail", just a message to the decal developpers ...

You have an unique opportunity to disable the combat macros abilities of Decal.

You can make programs like the combat part of elcrap no longer work, while still providing all the other great features this kind of plugins may have.

You can stop irresponsible kiddies who make the UCM plugins from abusing your work and giving Decal a bad name.

Of course they will find ways around restrictions, but at least Decal would no longer be the culprit, and they would have to work each month to update their stuff instead of confortably relying on your work to continue give Decal the bad reputation it has.

You can do it NOW, and it's a one time deal, it will most certainly never happen again in AC1's life.


Why not take that unique opportunity ?

I didn't read that thread much as elgarl and his fans infected it, but Gouru's answer is, as usual, honest and clear.

I still think it's an unique opportunity to change the bad reputation of Decal.

Think about it, Gouru.

I don't think another event requiring a total rework of Decal will ever happen in AC1's end of life.

99% of Decal users would disagree.

i think a lot of the decal users are aware of the reputation and like pointed out in other threads many decal users don't use it for combat macroing. personally i wouldn't mind it all, even would very much like it when combat macroing would be removed from the official decal.
