Is that the biggest problem right now? I'm no programmer so while I've read alot about the troubles your having with memlocs and what not, I'm just wondering if that's the biggest hurdle.

It's part of a class of problem called the 'Graphic Update', basically converting to work with DX9 instead of DX7, while maintaining plugin compatability.


The second class of problem is Memloc finding, we are about half complete there if I remember correctly, at least in terms of numbers. The more difficult ones are left so may take more time. The base graphics object we used for a lot of these does not appear to exist any longer.


And this just in, in our memloc search, we are not spending time required for memlocs that are only used by Windows 9X. For all intense porpoises, Win9X is no longer supported.

I would consider that reasonable Gouru. MS no longer actively supports windows 9x either.

No No we are impressed, Its just we'd like to know how impressed we should be?

- Where did I say it was 'ok' when I did it? I cheated and helped kill the playerbase of the game.. it's not something I brag about. And I didn't get a 'spark of conscious', I stopped anything to do with plugins back then because I realized it would destroy the playerbase because there were non-stop threads about it on the boards. I put it to rest early 2002 actually... and another 'public' bot was released a few months later and the game was destroyed and population was lost almost overnight. (well within a few months actually)


I'm just glad it wasn't me that did it.

Even though Ibn has said that the CoC change was a "mistake", Gouru has yet to reply that he is going to keep developing Decal.


As a result, I am not installing ToD until Gouru says that "Decal is a go".

- Please tell me that you really aren't this stupid... please... I said 99% of online gamers.. not 'what is left of AC players'. Go ask on an FPS board if using an aimbot is a cheat? Go ask on the camelot board if using 'radar' is a cheat? Go ask on the Lineage 2 board if using a macro is a cheat? You'll soon find yourself in the VAST minority of online gamers.


I am quite surprised that that poll doesn't show 90-95% in favor of Decal.. I figured it was only the cheaters left with a few die-hards... guess it goes to show that there are still more die-hards holding on than you would expect lol
