there is no xp beyond 275, so there is no level to track.

Somewhat true.

You still earn XPs at level 275 (for burning of Vitea), but your XP meter is forever frozen at 191,226,310,247. Further, you still pass up XPs to your patron.

Boneyard's response is correct from the perspective of a level 275 character. Supposely, you can not add to any of your character experience point pools so there is nothing to track. However, during the preview Turbine had some bugs in their experience point system and it was possible to go beyond 191,226,310,247 experience.

I do not have a level 275 character. So it is not possible for me to see if Turbine closed those holes or not.

Quite True, and since there are Calculations that are used to attain each level, there should be a way to continue to have Tank Follow it.

There certainly was NO LEVEL above 126 PRE-ToD, but Tank did it then, too....Soooo....

This only worked pre Throne of Destiny because a character kept earning experience which was not reflected in the character's level due to an error in the Turbine server software. Once you reach 275 your experience is frozen (assuming Turbine fixed the holes) so there is nothing to keep track of in Treestats or Eltank.

Correct, they did fix the holes. If you look at ever 275 on Treestats, and talk to people who have 275s (Persephony, my co-monarch ... and Tigr, a good friend) have both told me that from their first hand experience, they can passup and burn vitea, but the XP meter remains the same).

275 is "it", and I seriously doubt that Turbine will ever lift it. You can still play your character now (before you couldn't get rid of vitea), but advancement totally stops.

Besides, at that level, you have all your skills and stats Max'd (actually, that happens about level 245-250 for most people), and still have about 80-90 billion unspent XPs ... even if you somehow keep playing for 2+ years just for Augmentation Gems and get every single one of them, you will still have about 35-40 billion XPs that will never be able to be spent on anything. So much for "end game".

There is no elder game or land control. Therefore, a character's development and the game "Ends" for them at 275 or earlier.

To be technical, a characters development doesn't end until all augmentations are achieved.

Other then that:

A character's battle effectiveness ends around 220.

A character's ability to pump skills ends around 240.(barring the extra skill when the 275th level skill credit is obtained)

The ability to find better armor and weapons never ends.

The ability to do quests and have fun with others does not end.
