There have been issues with updating and having .NET 2.0 installed. This does not happen to everyone, and this is not a bug in .NET 2.0. Decal has some stack corruption in the public build. When .NET 2.0 is loaded into the memory space, the corruption apparently prevents updating. This wasn't really noticable before because there weren't many new Adapter plugins people wanted to use, but since the number of plugins has gone up, so has the number of people using .NET 2.0.

In any case, if you manually download the files, they will work fine.

The actual files are http://update.decaldev.com/memlocs.2711.xml , http://update.decaldev.com/messages.xml , and http://update.decaldev.com/killbit.2711.xml

You have to rename memlocs.2711.xml to memlocs.xml and killbit.2711.xml to killbit.xml, but those are the file links.

If you check the decal home page at http://www.decaldev.com there is a much easier solution that doesn't require using external zip files or saving xml files and renaming them.

Zalliun thank you for your long explanation but the problem was not in my understanding of what Hazridi meant. My issue was that I got an error message when I tried to use his links. No problems now since Hazridi has given a new link. Thank you very much Hazridi.

Blah. The new utility won't work for me. I'll just do it manually and hope for the best.

No the utility does not work for me either. I am going to try to manually install the memlocs.
