The sad thing is that many people have stopped playing AC1 since El Tank no longer functions, So I guess killing it off accompolished what was wanted.
I would think if the loss of El Tank is hurting Turbine too much they would add a macro system to the AC1 client, problem solved and all the 12 year olds are taken out of the equation.

Anywhere in the Asheron's Call relm. Many people have been waiting for many things to so that many layers of hell have frozen over.
I'm still waiting for Turbine to take over customer billing so they can think about doing the "Character Transfer System" that was talked about 18-24 months ago.

The freezing over remark had nothing to do with Turbine Arch, it had to do with a certain someone being willing to authorize someone else hosting his plug-in. Not gonna happen.

My take on this is more straightforward. This guy expected a groundswell of support for his "post Ninja pout" - something akin to mass subscription cancellations in protest. That simply never materialized into the "Come Back EgarL" campaign he was most likely angling for.
Tubing his own authentication servers early on serves as proof of the pudding and his latest move, the icing on the cake. Good riddance to you EgarL, your AC legacy is a dubious one at best.

There we're plenty of 'come back' posts and requests. Heck some people even offered to pay me to come back. However it's impossible. I don't and won't support a company I don't trust. I hear good things about Vanguard though .
Many players left with me and were welcomed into EVE. Others continue to play AC, as was expected. Good luck to you all and may you continue to enjoy whatever you find the most pleasure in. |
