Thirst isnt against the CoC in anyway. infact it ENFORCES the CoC...

it's a program which makes it so macroers cant AUTO log when you come near them. So you can just kill them...

I dont see why any Ethical programmer would see that as unethical...when its pretty much for the cause of turbine..

Also, I've got to say: I disagree with the fact that EVERYONE on DT condones and accepts UCMs and "welcomes" them.

Well, that, and it's still against Turbine's CoC and is still enforced last I've checked.

C

You'd be wrong. Every guild on DT allows macros, unless it's a bunch of level 20's that came over from LC or something.

Every allegiance may allow it, but that doesn't mean that the entire population condones it.

So you would join a monarchy that stands for things you dont condone, especially things like UCM? Doesnt sound like the right answer.

Like I said, you play DT for a year and your views will change. It's almost a different game.

there's a reason I won't play on DT.. I don't want to stoop that low... and in order to be competitive, you have to.

I understand the politics, and I just won't bring myself to that level.... so I don't.

You can blame that on Turbine as it is their fault. If DT and AC die, it will be because of things like this.

(Not to say that Turbine is to completely blame... we can also thank the hackers, exploiters, and the unethical programmers as well)

Woah, I missed the part where he actually in the first place stated that he specifically wanted a Thirsting plugin. Could be a war detect plugin or something along those lines.

We have our limits,(we're not complete savages) it's just things like UCM and thirst which we feel we can govern ourselves. A lot of people dont want to spend countless hours of grinding and leveling to pk for an hour after a long day of whatever it is they do, it doesnt hurt us like it could hurt you. Programs that actually pk for you and war detect are frowned upon, hacking is frowned upon, TKing is frowned upon, etc etc.

It's the best server, if you want a challenge it's the place to be.

I hate comparing an online game's ethical stance to real life ethics, yet it does reflect on the "person's" attitude toward's anything in life. If you believe it's OK to go against an established set of rules (CoC), then that would appear to be your implied outlook on anything. So, it's OK to drive drunk, as long as your group moderates it. Shitty comparison, yet it seems to be people's justification for not following guidlines and rules. So, since other people are breaking the rules, it's OK for us to do it too. Cool. SInce so many people have illegal guns, I guess it's OK to get one, also. Since other people have 'em, too. Hypocricy at it's finest. Hope you keep that attitude in real life and get caught. Prison/county jail will be good to you. Just remember to tell them that since others were doing it, you did too. They'll understand, they feel the same way.

Pretty stupid logic there. I dont even have so much as a misdemeanor on my record, nor have I ever tried or used an illegal substance. In fact, I would say my record is cleaner than way more than most posters.

Thanks for trying.
